I've been on a good trend with my iron play, working toward a more compact swing that is much more controlled. As long as the snow doesn't ruin the whole winter, I just want to continue with that focus.

That alone, along with a little bit of mental focus, should turn some of my low 80's into mid 70's.

Every year I set a goal to play more and it rarely happens. As a Club Pro the days are very long and the golf course is still a work place so sticking around an additional 4-5 hours is not that attractive. However I love the game and need to find a way to play more than the 10 games a year I currently get.

I can't say I'm making any golf goals this go around. I just want to continue playing as much as I want and stay injury free. Do plan on continuing with my instructor/coach this year. It's been an enjoyable and helpful experience.

Goals will be same this year as they were last year. Shoot a round in the 60s. My PB is 70 with about a dozen 71/72s. Get to scratch which will require me to practice more and work on short game. Work on iron play to better control ball flight to hit more greens.

Work on being more consistent with my iron shots, right now I can't even hit the broadside of a football field from 30 yards with any club. I am usually hitting 12/14 fairways but for the life of me cannot hit a green, maybe 4/18, the other thing I need to focus on is making more putts. I just don't make any, unless it is for double then I can make anything from anywhere, just need to figure out how to do that when it is for birdie or par.

Golf Trips to me are like an all you can eat buffet, my eyes get bigger than my stomach and I can rarely eat all that I bite off.    meanng I want to take more golf trips than I have time for.

But if the above round was to take place in the Myrtle Beach area, I'd do my best to try and make it.

Practice at least 3 days a week, playing at least twice a week.

Take at least 3 golf trips

Meet and Play with some MGS'ers (other than the local guys I already know..ha)

I'm hoping to finally get down into the single digits next season. With losing the weight I have I expect to be able to generate significantly more speed, so I'm hoping that translates to the course.

Losing weight definitely should help the scores because you'll be a little fresher during the tail end of a round. At least for me it did.

I'm getting myself back in the gym and will be starting my diet after the new year as well but so far I'm seeing good results for my game. Got up to 126 mph ball speed with a 7i during my last lesson so I'm gonna say it's helping lol

Last year my goals were to play the same clubs all year.

Gamed the Mizuno's all year, and my scores were going down all year.

Did not stick to my goal when it come to wedges / putter.

This year hell or high water I am going to stay with the wedges/putter like it was my

2nd wife.

Ball, I started with the B330S, then the B330RX, then the ProV1

Going to start with the ProV1

Awesome news man! Good luck with the life changes man. That's way bigger for both of us than any changes on the course! I'm just looking forward to it being a positive side effect! Haha.
