As an example, I'd bought a Real Feel Country Club Elite and cannot say that its price is worth it; ie there must be better values out there.....

Both nets Ive bought developed holes within a short amount of “hits”. I don’t use mine often and I almost hit a car and a house in my neighborhood!!!

With our allegedly aging golfer demographic a head to head test of the super light drivers and fairways would be interesting. Should they be their own category or get mixed in as a subset of GI and SGI categories?

The new stability tour putter shafts. Since a lot of folks are staying quarantined, it's probably one of the few tests we could actually accomplish as an entire group? Not everyone has a course around them open right now, but I bet all of us practice putting SOMEWHERE in our house. Might not be the most data-driven forum test ever, but might help the testers pass the time for sure.

I know we've seen the articles in the blog already, I want to see if it helps us normal guys hit more putts online. Yes, this is totally a shower thought and I am starting to go crazy thinking about how long it will be before I get to play golf next. We have year round golf so an off-season isn't something I am used to coping with -- first world problem, I know.

A test of side-saddle putters would be interesting. Perhaps it would be hard to find a group of testers with enough familiarity with the stroke though. 

 

The super-mega-long drivers would be an interesting test too. I'm thinking clubs in the Krank category that typically draw long-drive competitors to put them in their bags.

Similarly, I've been wondering about putter grips - eg. fat vs thin, round vs pistol, tapered vs straight, etc etc.

Curious if .. IN GENERAL .. there's a suggested type and style that works best with a particular putting stroke..??

Not sure if it can really be well quantified, though, since it seems evaluating putters, putter grips, putting strokes usually end up as: "it's an individual feel thing"......

Would be interested to see some testing of the new Sense putter grip (the square/rectangular ones with the weighting system).

I would like to see a side by side test on GPS watches. 

Every once in a while there is one or two thrown in with an all encompassing  GPS review but not one specific to watches.  I'm interested in going this route in addition to my laser. Been reading tons of reviews and just when I think I have it narrowed down there are more poor reviews that pop up. I'm to the point I really only trust MGS and  MGS member reviews.

Thank you for the link. Yes I reviewed this last year and was going to pull the plug on the Bushnell NEO- Ion. The more I looked into it the more I found bad reviews. I was surprised about the complaints and customer service issues from  a well know trusted company. There are quite a few other manufacturers that were not represented in the watch category that I have been curious about.

Max won’t be tested but the LSTe will be. In fact the last 5 winners will be. I am sure they are working through the logistics on how to get people through the testing. Mallet putters testing has restarted and I would expect the final driver test to start soon.

I would like to see MGS collaborate with TXG or Club Champion and take 4 or 6 golfers through a comprehensive fitting.  Half of the field having never been fit and the other half with experiencing being fit with clubs.

You guys can fill in the rest but I would love to see how a precise and complete head to toe fitting would affect golfers and their game.

I really like this idea.

Furthermore, I would love to have a long time follow up with long term instruction and training to see how much the properly fitted clubs + coaching can improve an everyday golf game of  a regular Joe, or in that case my self.
