Clayton
I mentioned this over in the "how to be a tester" section. I'm REALLY interested in a Bushnell/GC3 unit. I have a 2 and 4 yo now and after this season, I don't think I'll be able to golf as much, AND I want to teach them how to golf. Yeah, MGS did a short story on how accurate they are but I'd love to see a few people test them - maybe just into a net with a laptop, even full blown simulator experiences. I, for one, would even be willing to pay for the unit and a gaming laptop if Bushnell unlocked it for the testing. I've been working at a Trackman simulator place so I could even test it in the facility (just hook it up to the hdmi cable and the camera unit just sits on the ground, it would be so easy to do). It seems like with the MGS people using GC Quad for all their club and ball testing, it would be a natural fit for MGS members to test some units.

Not related to testing, but if you haven't looked at it already maybe check out the Mevo+ .. it comes with some target games included. Yeah, it's more affordable as well I think. But I think you need quite a bit more area (like with Trackman) so it can watch the ball with the radar while the GC3 takes pictures at launch. I'm certainly open to the Mevo+.

Golfspy_TCB
I would like to see all club test in swing speed categories (similar to the three driver speed categories), but with one "improvement" that would make the tests more relevant to me (maybe I'm selfish).... The "slow" swing is all speeds up to 90 mph (driver), the "mid" swing is 90-105 mph. So... there is really a 30+ mph difference from top to bottom... my swing sits right at the top of "slow" and bottom of "mid" so I can never tell how much of the testing is at the extreme ends... so.... a category that is high-80's to low 90's would be the most helpful for my game. Drives me crazy watching all the club testing videos showing guys hitting 190 yard 7 irons... that has as much relevance to my game as choosing my sticks based on the tour players. Show me a guy hitting a 140 yard full 7 iron, and I'll subscribe to your channel ;). While I'm at it... the 2022 ball test should include that tweener swing speed too. 1 Quote Titleist TSR3 9* (A2 setting) Driver - Otto Phlex PLB 45 "L" Srixon ZX 3W & 5W Titleist TSi2 5 Hybrid TaylorMade Stealth 5-PW Titleist Vokey SM9 50-08, 54-10 & 58-08 Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2.5 Maxfli Tour / Titleist AVX

Coming from a forum members testing standpoint. We normally do it best to get a range of swing speed groups in all our tests. Sometimes it isn't possible, but normally we take that into account to make then more relevant to all. 2 Quote as of Oct 31, 2022 (Past WITB) Driver: TBD: Follow here: Driver Shootout! Golf shafts generally come in 4 flexes - senior, regular, stiff, and extra stiff. The swing speed stuff they do here at MGS should reflect what I consider to be a 4 swing speed standard as well, not 3. It would make more sense to do it that way and seems like it would be easier for users to fit a swing speed category.

I am sure some responses will be about shaft flex from one shaft/mfg to another are completely subjective designations (which is certainly true - not to mention kick points and such), but at a 10,000 foot level... breaking swing speeds into 4 categories rather than 3 seems more intuitive to the range of amateur golfers. 2 Quote Titleist TSR3 9* (A2 setting) Driver - Otto Phlex PLB 45 "L" Srixon ZX 3W & 5W Titleist TSi2 5 Hybrid TaylorMade Stealth 5-PW Titleist Vokey SM9 50-08, 54-10 & 58-08 Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2.5 Maxfli Tour / Titleist AVX
pakman92
I'd love to see a test of Puring the shaft where the orientation is controlled. Pure'd orientation, +45, -45, +90. All the tests I've seen so far is one pure'd shafts vs another of unknown orientation. Problem is the unknown orientation makes the test results non-conclusive since the other shaft could be by luck in correct orientation. Test could be extended to include a number of stock/after-market shafts to see if affect is less with high end shafts. 2 Quote Epic Max LS 11.5° (10.5°+1) w/ Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6 stiff Epic Flash 3 Wood 17° (15°+2) w/ Project X Even Flow Green 60 stiff Super Hybrid 21° (20°+1) w/ Mitsubishi Tensei CK Orange 80 stiff Rogue Hybrid 5 (24°) w/ Aldila Synergy 60 HYB Graphite stiff 2021 P790 Irons 5-AW (1° flat, weakened lofts) w/ Aerotech Steelfiber i95 cw regular CBX2 Wedges 54°, 58° w/ True Temper DG 115 Wedge flex Odyssey White Hot OG #1 Stroke Lab, 33 in Pro V1 Bushnell Launch Pro

Headhammer
I replied to this question on Twitter and got no feedback so I will reiterate here. I would love to see a double blind test of pured vs unpured shafts to see if it matters to weekend golfers. Look at distance and dispersion as the metrics and a make a case for what is a somewhat controversial topic. 2 Quote Driver: Speed Zone 9* HZRDUS Smoke Yellow Shaft 3 Wood: King Speedzone 13.5* HZRDUS Smoke Black Shaft 2 & 3 Hybrids: Speedzone Recoil 480 ESX Shaft Irons: Speedzone 5-GW Recoil 460 ESX Shafts Wedges: PM Grind 54* & 58* Putter: Dual Force Rossi II Ball: Whatever I find in the woods HCP:
russtopherb
I'd like to see a head to head test of the hybrid style SGI irons. Halo XL, LaunchPad, T-Rails, Hot Launch, Sub 70 799, etc. See which ones have best turf interaction, forgiveness, height & stopping power, etc. And actually have them tested by folks that would play them on the course, having them tested by a 6 hdcp with a 105 driver swing isn't really going to show what a weekend golfer could expect to get out of them. 1 Quote In my carry bag: Mavrik Max 10.5* R Flex Evenflow RipTide Hy-Wood Launcher 5h D7 6i-GW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact
