Oh.  just my luck... kinda like hitting it to 6 feet on a 199 yard par 3 and 3 putting...  (this really happened)

from elation to devastation in about 15 minutes.

Been there my friend.   I won the overall in league one and thought I had a chance at the overall, but I wasn't even that close.....

I have emailed Yahoo several times about an unlimited league size, to avoid this confusion. It would also make it a helluva lot easier for me to manage as well. Lol

Thanks, guys. I wouldn't say I've done a great job....sometimes I'd be a month behind. Lol. I'm glad everyone enjoys it. Maybe next year will be the year that Yahoo ups the size.

If not, there may be other ways to cut down on the work required.  Maybe a designated person from each group simply posts who won their group and what the score was each week/segment.  If necessary it could be verified by screenshots or other people in the group.  I mean do the people that came in 50th for a week really need to know?  Every now and there could be an overall update or something but you really only need to know who won the week/segment/overall.  There could be random updates on the overall standings if necessary.

"We will not be offering Fantasy Golf in 2018. We thank you very much for playing our game over the years and hope you will continue to play our other fantasy games."

I agree.   Sad day for fantasy golf.   I've always liked the yahoo format better than pgatour.com's or golfchannel.com's games.    But maybe MYGOLFSPY will have to use one of those formats for 2018.   Hope we do something here for the spys......

Well, Yahoo! has finally given an update:

 

"We will not be offering Fantasy Golf in 2018. We thank you very much for playing our game over the years and hope you will continue to play our other fantasy games."

 

I had run my own league with buddies since 2004.  Never did like the games offered by other groups.  Sad day for fantasy golf. 

 

I'm just going to say it, this royally sucks!  Even though the site wasn't always stable with changes, etc, it was the best format out there for fantasy golf in my opinion.

I truly find this very sad been playing yahoo from the first year ... and I love the salary format there are not many sites left that use that format.  Most have gone to the dreaded draftstre..et format which I dislike.

 

To all the characters names I've sworn at cause they beat me a certain week... good playing .... to all those I've beaten .... got ya .... to all my online friends ... lets meet up at Buzz Fantasy ... anyone ever put a paying together feel free to contact me and let me know I will join ...

 

Happy New Year minus the 4 seconds they made to the clock ... what a crock the calendar is .... wish we could scrap it and change the stupid holidays we go through for commercialization .... ) well what can say .. we are so programmed by all sorts of events lol .... except for summer golf .... man I hate winter .

I believe that both PGAtour.com and golfchannel.com games allow for free leagues.

Both are more complicated than Yahoo as far as scoring goes...but Golf Channel somewhat simpler compared to the PGA Tour Avis game.  I've been in a ~20 person money league for a few years and we moved over to Golf Channel
