PlaidJacket 7,737
Joey aka TXSTCAMAN is IN I'll mark him down in the morning. My spreadsheet is at the office. I think that will now put us around 14 players. Some can't get firm on the deal yet so let's keep shooting for more players. I'd like to have 16 minimum. EthanSterlingPrice suggested a course up at lake Whitney. Looks nice. Keep suggestions coming I'm still open and looking. Delaware Springs in Burnet? I've heard it's a hidden gem? How about Terravista - Round Rock? Any experience anyone? 2 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

Not to create more work for you. Would it be s good idea to keep and updated list in your first post. That way we can keep track of who's in and who's considering. Maybe a Definite and a possibility list. It might help those that are undecided to see the names (screen names)of the guys that will be there. Just a suggestion. 2 Quote TSi1 Aldila Ascent 40G shaft TSi2 18 FW with GD AD IZ 6 Shaft TSi1 20 and 23 degree hybrids Aldila Ascent Shafts R T300 5-P Tensei R flex shaft 1/4 long SM8 48F/54/58 D Grinds Tyne 4 ProV1X Play number

Kenny B 32,352
This could possibly work better for me than the World Woods outing I proposed a couple weeks ago. I could play this. Then my sister and I could drive together to see my mom in PNS and then back to TX for the flight home. I'll be watching the details closely. Sent from my LG-D850 using MyGolfSpy mobile app If you come, then I am a definite maybe! I will figure out how to make it happen. 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
txstroker 43
I'm definitely interested and I'll say I'm probable. Nailing down a course and a weekend will help me to be able to commit. RoverRick 1,680
... a first annual tournament for members in Texas.... This will be the fourth in four years, so I'm not so sure that it will honestly be the "first annual tournament" but all the previous ones were a blast. You can count me in if I can make it. My work schedule is kind of crazy so we will just have to see when it is. Location is not that big a problem for me, it simply depends on how things work out. The actual first attempt at a statewide event got 9 inches of rain. The only people to show up were the ones who were from out of state and didn't get the weather forecast. The second attempt we had a decent turn out but snow the previous week made conditions less than ideal. On the second day, it rained and was cold. The third attempt was very windy but could not get many people to commit so there was just 4 of us. I hope you schedule better weather than Zeasy and I did. 1 Quote Driver: SIM2 Max 9° -2° on Fujikura VENTUS Blue 5S Fairway: ST190 5w On Fujikura VENTUS Blue 6s G425MAX 7w Flat on Project X Hzrdus Yellow G425MAX 9w Flat on Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S Hybrid: G425MAX 6 H and 7H Flat on UST ProForce V2 Irons: ICON Black 7-P on UST Recoil SmacWrap 760 Wedges: Equalizer II Black 50°, 54° & 60° on UST Recoil SmacWrap 760 Putter: ER5B Balls: Pro V1X TP5x Shoes: Range Finder: Precision Pro NX7 Pro All grips are BestGrips Micro-Perforated

PlaidJacket 7,737
Carolina... good suggestion. I'll get something posted. FYI: so far we have 14 members indicating interest. I believe 6 have stated they will play. I'll try and get a post up after while with a list of some sort. Currently I have received suggestions for 4 courses: White Bluff-Lake Whitney Terravista-Round Rock Wolf Dancer-Bastrop Lake Waco Golf Club-Waco I'm somewhat discounting Wolf Dancer because it's basically almost in San Antonio (Bastrop). It's a nice course and I've played it. I'm trying to stick with an area along I35 from about Round Rock up to Waco and perhaps Lake Whitney area. I want to mention that most everyone will have to make a drive to some degree or another. For me that drive will be no less than 4.5 hours. If you don't think you can get out of your backyard then this event is not for you. Just saying. 2 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour
PlaidJacket 7,737
Here's a list of the members that have expressed an interest in playing in this years event. I also have a spreadsheet put together but I can't post it from my office computer. In my spreadsheet I'm including the following information: forum alias, member first/last name, location/city, email address, phone, hcp., age. When I post the spreadsheet I will not include email address or phone. CRW 223
I haven't played Horseshoe Bay, but everyone I know that has says it's a must play. It's a resort course though, so I don't know if you can play without doing a stay and play package. There are multiple courses on the property too. Initial checking on Flights show $185 from BWI to DFW...That's not bad at all. I'd fly to Dallas as that is where my sister is. so the outing is on Saturday, I'd either drive the 3 hours (according to Google Maps) to the Austin Area on Friday night for a Saturday am time, or if it's mid morning or later, I'd just drive down Saturday night. Then return to Dallas Saturday night for us to drive to PNS to see Mom, spend a couple days and drive back to Dallas to fly home, So I just need to confirm with Sis that the 23rd to the 25th or so is good for her to visit Florida.
