Orange Hog 329
Before daylight savings ended I was out playing 9 holes after putting the kids to bed. On the last hole the sun was all but gone and there was little light. I tee'd up the Bridgestone B330RX I had been playing all round and hit it. No idea where it went or landed from the tee box (thankfully it was in the fairway). I went into the bag and pulled out a yellow Vision ball and ripped it down the fairway. From the tee I could see it through the air the entire way down the hole. I was blown away how bright the ball was sitting in the fairway with basically zero daylight. Now I always make sure to carry a few yellow balls in the bag in case I get caught in that situation. Heck, even on really overcast days I'll play it.

PMookie 17,027
Well, bringing back this thread because I’ve JUST received some new “test” balls from Boz!!! I’ll be putting these through the paces against Pro V1X, Left Dash, MTB Black, etc. These are the newest iteration of what Vision is looking at offering down-the-line complete with a urethane cover. Here are a few pics, even a couple of their latest glove that’s WASHABLE!!!! Looking forward to giving some feedback, and I always love to participate in these trials! So much fun to be part of what comes next!!! 1 2 Quote Driver: King F9 Speedback/Epic Max LS, Xphlexxx Busa 2 Liquid, XX stiff, 45” Fwy: Epic Speed 4w, MMT 80X Hybrid: X2 Hot Pro, 20*, Graphite Design Tour AD-DI 105X Irons: TR20 Tour P 4-10, Modus 130 stiff, +1” Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 All but putter have Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Calibrate midsize built to oversize +

You can see in this thread from years ago that Vision sets itself apart from the rest by having extremely high visibility balls. The color isn’t “painted” on like most manufacturers, so it’s more durable, and significantly brighter. Obviously, as you see in the pics, they make white as well, but again, it’s a different “coating” than others use. 2 Quote Driver: King F9 Speedback/Epic Max LS, Xphlexxx Busa 2 Liquid, XX stiff, 45” Fwy: Epic Speed 4w, MMT 80X Hybrid: X2 Hot Pro, 20*, Graphite Design Tour AD-DI 105X Irons: TR20 Tour P 4-10, Modus 130 stiff, +1” Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 All but putter have Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Calibrate midsize built to oversize +

Siamese Moose 732
I remember not being real impressed with the original, though their claim of visibility absolutely measured up. I still have one, not six feet from me right now. Pro tip: If you get one of these cat scratchers with the ball track, take out and throw away the cheap plastic ball and put a golf ball in there. The cats really prefer the heavier and louder golf ball! 1 4 Quote Moose, my cat, is Siamese

PMookie 17,027
Initial trial of two versions I was sent: Took these out today for an intial trial. 115 driver swing speed estimate… ball: harder, lower trajectory off each club, more spin into and around greens. On chips around the green the first bounce “grabbed” a bit so less roll out. Full wedges hit and backed-up a couple feet. Hit one on a par 3, 174 to pin slight left to right quartering wind into me, pulled 7 iron (my 180 club), flushed it, piercing right through the wind and carried the green by 5 yards. Longest drive 297. Wind didn’t push it but a yard or two. ball: softer, much higher trajectory off each club, less spin into and around greens, more run-out on chips, but hit and stopped on full wedges (had one back-up a foot). Longest drive 315 Prefer the feel and flight of the , but liked the spin and wind performance of the More to come when I can drop balls and mess around. 3 Quote Driver: King F9 Speedback/Epic Max LS, Xphlexxx Busa 2 Liquid, XX stiff, 45” Fwy: Epic Speed 4w, MMT 80X Hybrid: X2 Hot Pro, 20*, Graphite Design Tour AD-DI 105X Irons: TR20 Tour P 4-10, Modus 130 stiff, +1” Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 All but putter have Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Calibrate midsize built to oversize +
PMookie 17,027
Played my final prototype today, one that had the highest compression out of all that were sent to me. This is a winner. I started the round with the Left Dash to get an idea of launch, spin, distance, performance off irons and wedges, then switched to this. What was IMMEDIATELY noticeable came on my first tee shot with it: softer feel, lower launch (perfect mid launch for me), JUST enough spin to stay in the air and keep its line, AND it was LONG. Performance off 4 iron from the fairway was very good. I had 234 to a pin on a Par 5, flushed it, and ended up hole high. I hit a mid launching cut that hit the green and grabbed. Feel was awesome, flight and spin too. I had a second shot on a Par 5 with 228 and the ball did the same thing the second time. On full wedges it hit and stoped as well, didn’t back up, which is what I’m searching for. Pro V1X spins too much for me of wedges and irons. Overall distance off all clubs was consistent with what I see from all other balls like Srixon XV, Pro V1X, etc. Chipping and performance around the greens was good. I play most chips and pitches to roll out and this did exactly what I wanted. Just the right amount of spin, great feel. I really think the compression is just right. Not too firm, not too soft. Spin is perfect for me on all clubs. Could it launch a TAD higher? Maybe, but I wouldn’t want to lose the performance it showed. I would play this ball all day, every day. Really good. Best one of the bunch for my game. 2 Quote Driver: King F9 Speedback/Epic Max LS, Xphlexxx Busa 2 Liquid, XX stiff, 45” Fwy: Epic Speed 4w, MMT 80X Hybrid: X2 Hot Pro, 20*, Graphite Design Tour AD-DI 105X Irons: TR20 Tour P 4-10, Modus 130 stiff, +1” Wedges: SMS 50D/54V/58DModus 130 stiff, +1” Putter: EAS 1.0 All but putter have Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Calibrate midsize built to oversize +
ThePhillB 54
Sounds like a winner to me, that one definitely seems to suit what I would prefer in a ball as well.
