Vision Golf Ball - US Test Pilot Project - MyGolfSpy

Recommended Posts

Happy to join in, it would be nice to try something other than the Pro V1s etc etc that we feel to have to "because the pros" do. my handicap is my swing and my game.

...if not too late of course and if you allow Canadians in (I am a Brit too so twice the value)

Ahh. Another xpat Pom. What part of Britain. I was born in Bradford. But resident Aussie for last 47 years. Hope you get the Chance to check out Bozs balls in the near future. They really are a Quality product.

Hi Guys, ok we ran into a little hiccup getting things sorted

but the plan is to supply the lucky first 6 players as listed

below by early next week.

Once I get a handle on how this has gone and the costs etc I

will organise the balance of the packs to be sorted.

Thanks in advance for your patience as I didn't want to put

to much extra work into MGS hands with the new babe and family

commitments that he has going on at the moment.

SargeDesign / MudFish / SacTown / TYK / JBones / Canyon 23

Cheers, Boz.

Outstanding! ;)

Hi everyone,

I have been using vision balls for the last couple of years. Out of the three versions you have here in oz at the moment the green ball gives me more spin than does the expert2 version ball.

I would really like to try any new versions you got

Hi CF, thanks for the note and the support, the OZ TP team is

the best place to come on bord for you so when you get a chance

drop me a line through the Vision Golf ball website.

In regards to the balance of the US/Canadian MGS Test Pilot team

I will be sending your packs direct from Oz.

As such there will be one prototype of the latest mini test

batch of the Nano TV One ball included only 36 were built.

These are usually never released outside our family test group

as these type of prototypes are a little raw for outside

presentation but I am happy to share to show where I am heading

with things.

Cheers. Boz.

See we told you he is a caring sharing sort of guy.

Enjoy the goodies when they arrive, you never know what Boz will include in any package, can still remember opening my first one and the questions that followed like how much have you spent to get this collection of goodies.

For those lucky enough to be testers enjoy the ride, don't have any thoughts about how a ball is going to preform until you have slapped it with a driver and an iron and if you really need to a putt. Experience tells me that looks can be decieving.

Hi Guys, a quick update.

All the packs that were involved in the second grouping were

sent direct from me here in Oz late last week and will be

delivered probably today or tomorrow.

Once you have your pack please let me know that it is in your

hands so I can check my list off.

There will be a couple of extra players getting their packs

next week as they were after the original cutoff so dont worry

everyone that has been in contact to date was included in this

initial MGS Test Pilot group.

The main thing that I am interested in from all your perspectives

through this process is whether you feel a brand and presentation

like my Vision has a place in your market.

Is this fresh approach based on improved visibility and Ezy 2 See

markings practical or will it be seen to be just a novelty?

Thanks again for the support,

Boz.

Boz,

I got the tracking email from TNT last week and I've been anxiously clicking it every day to see it inch closer. I should have it in time to possibly (depending on how testing goes) put it into play for my biggest event of the year. It would definitely be a conversation piece if I won with a bright yellow ball, and that ball would get to retire into my trophy case.

The tracking is really useful and tends to be accurate Matt.

Remember to make sure you have a good and putt with each model

before putting them into play so the sound/feel / speed can be

dialled in.

Cheers, Boz.

Hi Tyk,

The original 6 were being sent by MyGolfSpy last week, I am not

sure of the arrangements as the product was coming out of the

samples I shipped earlier to MGS as per the post/images we all

saw on the other thread.

This applies to,

SargeDesign / MudFish / SacTown / TYK / JBones / Canyon 23

If there are any hiccups I will sort it out,

Cheers,

Boz.

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately my courier service out of Oz might be a bit quicker than

the local service. If I had thought it through before hand I would

have done them all from here as it makes things easier for all involved.

I have to be upfront as well, I have spent alot of money trialling different

ways to get things moving to date in the states and I am unsure at this stage

how I am going to do things going forward as the golf economy around the globe

is suffering and it will be more difficult to get proper US distribution in the

near future from what I have seen so far.

So this trial is really about establishing whether I should be pushing ahead and to

see how much support this US Test Pilot group can give me with my ongoing design work.

Cheers, Boz.

Why not look for a partner in the USA? Right now there are dozens of downsized golf executives who have the contacts you need and might be willing to run with the Vision in exchange for an exclusive arrangement for a while. At the very least find an active ebayer. Make him an offer on the first shipment and see what happens. Anything is an improvement over your current "distributor."

You need a US guy, Im looking for a job, hint, hint.

I got my package today and I have to say I am blown away. I cant wait to get the balls on the course, they look amazing. The glove actually fits perfectly too, I have long and thin hands so Ive had trouble finding gloves that fit. Im definitely going to have to order a few of them. Plus all the extras, the ball markers, the tees, the hats look great and my kids are trying to fight me for the stickers. Thanks so much for the opportunity to try your stuff out.

Nothing helps you find a lost ball better than a provisional hit straight down the middle.

Received my golf care package today. WOW!!! I second what hendricks97, just blown away. The quality of the balls, glove and goodies all look great. The glove fits like a... glove. It feels great. I have a golf outing on Labor Day weekend and can't wait to share with the guys and get their reaction to the balls. Plus the shipping was super fast coming from Australia. We ordered something from Washington state and we still have not received it and we ordered it before I received my vision tracking number. If that is just a precursor to your style of customer service you should go far in this business. Kudos to Boz and the Vision staff.

Got my package today... If it wasn't raining all day, I'd be at the range trying these things out... they look great...

I will hopefully get a chance to try these out either Tuesday or Wednesday, if the rain stops...

The glove is a little big, but fits true to a Taylormade L... I love the way the towel feels too...

WOW! Got mine today! My wife immediately snagged the pinkys despite my protestations! Guess you'll be getting some feedback from a high handicap lady!

Thanks a bunch, can't wait to hit them! I'd post a pic, but its not cooperating.

Mine came in today too. I actually caught the TNT guy as he was pulling into the driveway as I was on my way home. I'll post some pictures here and my review will be up in a week or two. Just is checking the stuff out I really like the towel, the glove, and the colors on the balls are soooooo awesome. Here are a bunch of pictures I took:

A: You guys will love these balls. There's one in the test grouping that will fit like a glove

B: Speaking of gloves, if you roll with an interlocking grip like me, pick the sticky bits off the index finger of the glove. These things grip so well, that you'll end up with a callous. Also for those of you who play in humid weather, you should be good with one glove for a full game rather then having to switch every 6 holes

C: Tyk; from forum posts you're well above needing a game improvment ball but those Pinky's are the longest ball of the lot. If you can "borrow" it back from your wife for a hole or two, you'll see what I mean. They can really fly but you don't end up with that huge amount of side spin after a 100yrds like with something like a Burner Plus ball.

I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews from you guys. More people carrying the Visions flag in North American would be excellent.

Mine arrived today and thought we had a gentle rain, our league opted to play. I will review the balls in a couple of weeks, but wanted to post what I undcovered today. It was hard to judge a ball on soft greens, but I can already tell you this ball is as long as the Penta and feels better on the putter face. The glove made the bigger impression. The elastomeric portion of the glove provides excellent grip on damp grips. Thanks to a cooperative opponent who allowed me to hit a few UV:X-3s, I was less enthused. The unique exterior was a bit uncomfortable to look at, so you might want to hit some chips and short pitches to get accustomed to the look.

Another nice design feature is a dual "built in line." The name vision between two arrows is great for a general alignment for long putts, and a much longer but subtle

Looks like a fantastic product, but finding the right niche in the US market without a big marketing budget is going to be a challenge. I really hope we can help.

Thank you very much Boz,

Phana

When you say they're as long as the Penta which model in the Vision lineup are you referring to, if I may ask?
