Topcatsmith
The picture have been circulating of the new i200's....anyone heard whether it's just another iron range that Ping will be releasing or will they be releasing woods as well or they sticking with the G range for this year? Jiro
I would guess that these would replace the i series. The i and g-max should be scheduled for replacement in odd numbered years. The g series and blades come out in even years. At least this is the 2 year cycle that ping has been doing recently. dhartmann34
When I saw the Rep back in November, he told me it was an iron between the I and Blade. But He didn't say anything about woods or anything along those lines so I'm guessing it'll just be the I200 irons which I'm more than fine with. I should have asked him more about it, but I was rushing out of the shop. We'll have more information pretty soon here of course. But they do look pretty!! :-) Driver: G400 (8*) with Diamana Kai'li X-stiff Fairway: G400 (14.5*) with Diamana Kai'li X-stiff Irons: Crossover 3 iron (19*) with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shaft AP3 (4/5) and AP2 (6-PW) with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shafts Wedges: Scor 50*, 54*, and 58* with TT Dynamic Gold 120 S400 shafts Putter: Pro Platinum Newport 2 Midslant Handicap: 3 Location: Illinois...until i can get my wife to move to a warmer climate Right Handed: Although sometimes I wonder if left handed would suit me better

dhartmann34
Sooooooo I was able to hit about 15 balls with the i200 7 iron today. I had an s300 shaft in there which I'm not sure I liked especially when I've played the c taper lite for so long. I love the look of the club. Very pleasing to my eye. The feel was okay, but I don't think it was a fair shot since I was essentially hitting frozen range balls and it's the first time I've swung in about two months. Here are a few pics. PMookie
Thanks for the pics! Ever since playing the i20s I've always liked the look of the Pings in this range. WesP
i hit a set the other day, its hard for me to compare iron though, since i bought my Miuras.... I will say super simple and clean design and actually hit the 7iron about 6-8 yards farther than mine. I would def be okay playing these if i had to. jayjay0808
It looks like the old TM Rac Irons with more forgiveness. I used to have the i e1 irons and they were very easy to hit but I found that the long irons had way too much offset. From the pictures I have seen online these look to have a lot less than the previous version. PMookie
I took two i200 fitting cart 7 irons to the range for a quick hit today. One was shafted with KBS Tour 120 stiff, the other TT DG S300. It took me all of three hits to rule out the KBS. So, I hit my Z545 7 iron vs the DG 7 iron i200. The ball flight was noticeably higher with the i200, and surprisingly, the distance was right on par! That shocked me. Ping is saying it's their "softest" iron or i club yet, but it wasn't cushy. My Z still has a better feel. I loved the way the i200 looked at address, and I actually liked the ball flight I was seeing. It never ballooned. After this very short time with a club that was a 1/2" too short to start, it's definitely a club I would game. I liked it a lot. Not sure I like it better than the iBlades though!!!
