RookieBlue7
The EvnRoll grips are foam core. You're going to play hell getting it off with air. Best method is to use a grip removal tool and a BUNCH of solvent. Or just get a new Winn Pro grip. Kor.A.Door
This looks so good! How do I get the original grip off an Evnroll ER2 without cutting it? I have a compressor and blow other grips on, but I don't know if it will blow off. Usually iron grips are glued too hard and the air is trapped. I really want to reuse my Evnroll grip. I would set the air to only about 20psi and then stick a tee in the hole of the grip end, then remove the tee, and putt a bunch solvent inside, then just very slowly and with short bursts of air work the grip a little until it comes loose, if it seems to be sticking add more solvent the air will escape eventually and it should push the solvent down the grip. Just don't force the air. It will likely come off very easily. Just go slow. Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Word of caution, I did this little project a few years ago. I ordered the heat shrink online and when it arrived it had wording on it. It's cheap so I did not bother to return it but I made the trip to Lowes and picked it out myself so I could be sure there was no wording. It is a super easy project that does exactly what you want. 1 Quote Driver - Epic Speed Woods - Mavrik 3 Wood & Epic Flash Heavenwood Hybrid - Epic Flash 4H Irons - Rogue X 5 - AW Wedges - CBX2 54* & 58* Putter - ER2 Rangefinder - NX9 Slope Ball - Vice Pro Soft Drip Bag - Xtreme Cart 7.0 Bag Heather/Red/White

TShaffer
Love this idea, I know I am a little late to the party on this thread, but just curious. If you put this on without removing the grip (By cutting it down the length of the tubing) would the crease be unbearable? Even if you "hid" it on the back side of the shaft so it isn't visable at address?
downlowkey
Zombie Thread Alert I ordered 15 ft of black heat shrink tubing for a few putter refurbishing projects on the work bench. Just did an initial test run on my Bobby Grace NYC Tour. Blacking out the Lamkin Crossline graphics was an easy decision after seeing the shaft done. What do you guys think of the murdered out look? *shoutout to @hckymeyer for starting this DIY thread wayyyy back. 4 1 Quote ______S9-1 Pro D - Matrix Ozik XCON 6 S ______S9-1 Pro 15* - Matrix Ozik XCON 7 S ________3DX 17* - Matrix Ozik Altus Hybrid SG ______ICON Black 4-PW - KBS Tour V S __________588 RTG 49 RTX 52.10 56.12 - DG S400 ______Amazing Grace NYC Tour CS _______'19 TP5X (the preceding have all been gamer approved) "The most important shot in golf is the next one“ - Ben Hogan

Janny88
Was there any show on the putter shaft when the tubing comes off? ie. If I don't like the look on my putter (which I doubt), would the shaft be damaged after I took the tubing off? Looking to do this to a new to me Scotty Select Golo 5. Think it will look awesome with the black head, but don't want to ruin the putter if I don't like it or mess up. Thanks!
