Another sub 60 round. How many has that been since the groove rule change? Personally I enjoy seeing it but I can imagine the USGA does not

I guess the next thing we will be hearing is that the USGA and PGA need to switch from "Tiger proofing" to  "59 proofing" the courses.

still a very rare feat.....maybe the courses are starting to be too easy for them?  I sure as hell know they aren't for me

I know these guys are phenomenal players. But when something, which used to be such a rarity, occurs with this frequency, it just becomes less special. And even more than the number of "59s" already posted, is the almost daily "59 watch" scrolling the bottom of tv screen. 

 

The courses are pristine. Fairways are generally firm, manicured and predictable. Green speeds don't vary much at all. If it isn't a terribly difficult course or if the weather doesn't act up, every player out there is capable of going low.

 

When you combine that which guys who work to be in peak physical and mental condition and pair that with the best available technology, I'm no longer surprised.
