Fireinthehole
I have tried to find some info regarding this topic, but does anyone use a weaker flex when it is colder out? With my current club set up i felt like I was wiped out and leaking balls to the right by the time I finished my round on Sunday and it was mid 40's out, playing in the 30s was even worse. So I wanted to know if anyone drops a flex during the colder months? My Mixed-Bag: Driver: Mavrik Sub zero, ventus black 7x Fairway: Still looking! Liberty Ball Markers
I play all winter too, but don't change any hardware. I usually allow 1-2 extra clubs to make up distances (depending on temp and humidity), and try to continue with my normal swing. hckymeyer
No softer flex here. Just take an extra club or two and swing as well as my clothing layers allow. cnosil
Same clubs I normally play and like the others I hit usually 1-2 clubs more than normal. Additionally I will switch to a different ball something like an NXT Tour or E6. Fireinthehole
Interesting... Ive been trying to use a weaker flex in my driver this winter to see if it made a difference but I am all over the place off the tee. Guess I'll avoid doing the same with my irons. BigtazzGolf
No to weaker flex. I do play a softer ball when it's below 40 and just club up. jdwjdw
I play stiff shafts in the winter and once the temps rise and I loose 3 layers of clothing I play x stiff in the summer. Same heads in both sets, same putter and wedges played all year round. I'm 58 and nearly done with the x stiff. They are more accurate but lower ball flight. The stiffs are easier to launch but for that 3 weeks in Scotland we call summer I prefer the x stiff. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
