South TX >>> Boulder, CO

 

The game has been central to my life for 20+ years.

 

Grew up hitting stingers into the hot Texas wind until my hands bled. Moved to the Boulder Valley a couple years ago, where golf was meant to be played, at altitude. Feels like I'm playing underwater when I make trips back to Texas.

 

Currently rehabbing a pretty significant shoulder dinger that sidelined me for 5 months.

 

Interim digital retail therapy has consistently led me to MGS, and like many here, I am guilty of occasionally diving deep down the golf equipment rabbit hole.

 

Looking forward to talking shop with the similarly afflicted here.

Thanks ole gray, I'm well on my way to 100% recovery.

 

When middle-aged downhill mountain bikers meet small dogs/women in tight spots on steep trails there will be carnage.

 

Most recently it took the form a snapped clavicle, separated shoulder and front bicycle suspension that is some combination of the adjectives describing my bodily injuries.

 

I am happy to report the lady and her terrier came away without a scratch.

Welcome to the site. I believe I qualify as "similarly afflicted". I also can relate to the recovery process - had both knees replaced in June. Happy to be back out swinging the clubs.
