hckymeyer
Here in MN we actually have a couple courses opening for this weekend, absolutely the earliest opening I can ever remember. Don't worry, it will get cold again and they will close. Any only a couple are opening anyway. That said it's really time to think about the upcoming season. What are your goals for 2017? Here are mine... No rounds in the 90's Shoot under par Get a hole in one (this is on the list every year ) Play more rounds than last year Stay married (also on the list every year) Get to a 2 handicap Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. ole gray
I've decided to work really hard at becoming a better overall putter. I'm pretty much at a stand still as far as becoming a tour pro goes so I better just work on the part of my game that will help me win more blitz money. Undershooter
Get back to a + handicap and stay there through tournament season. Win a stroke play tournament or 3. Find a new club. SPY VIP The Dansome Posted February 16, 2017 SPY VIP Share Posted February 16, 2017 Meet/play with 3 new MGS members minimum. Eliminate the blow up round every 4-5 times out. I'd like to get down to a sub 5 cap. I want to settle on one putter. Find some hot button down fitted shirts. Integrate a bagel into my morning warm-up routine. Play more rounds starting between 7 & 7:18am. Break par once. Lose 6 more pounds. Settle on one driver. Raise my chip in average from one a round to two. Meet the queen. Hole in one. Just a few thoughts, I'm sure there's more. Yo #JustPlayBetter Follow @GolfSpyMBP

PlaidJacket
FYI... course rating is 68.7 from the men's White tee and it measures 6030 yds on the card. I personally believe it plays harder. The course hasn't been re-rated in like forever. Somewhat recently we've had new greens installed, 12-new bunkers, 3-new tee boxes, and 150 large trees planted. All of which changed the course. If it weren't for the club Championship I'd probably drop my handicap. This might be my last year anyway. I quit playing in all the other sandbagged, 2-3 day food & beverage, Calcutta, pro shop gift certificate, kegger events a few years back. It was a good 40 year run. Lately when someone asks me what my handicap is I tell them this is what I shoot day in day out and I give them a narrow range. It's more honest I think. Sorry if I swayed off topic. Par or Under
Honestly just 2 things: 1) to play more, instead of 2 maybe 3 times a month to average once a week 2) to tighten up my short game, chipping around the green and more importantly my putting. I've had way to many 3putts when I was on the green putting for birdie Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
Kenny B
I guess I'd say... Maintain my hcp. around 5-7 throughout the year. At my home course that's shooting in the 75-77 range. Play as much as I want Stay healthy Practice a little more often Enjoy life I could make these my goals... well, except for the 75-77 range. Yes, I can shoot those scores, but not on a regular basis. silver & black
Other than my normal "have fun".... I'm going to make a real effort to be a better putter. My home course is on my way to work.
