cksurfdude
I like the parrothead! Buffet fan? fins to the left....fins to the right Iron headcovers? anyone give you any crap about those? 96 is HOT! Played 2x last week and it was 95 each day... Yeah, big Buffett fan - seen him at the open air Jones Beach Theatre by the beach on the South Shore of Long Island; going again this Summer. You can NOT believe the party scene in the parking lot .. that starts in the morning! And, yeah - you do smell a lot of "fragrant herb" all over .. including during the show! The head cover was a present from the kids of some of my closest friends from high school. The other head covers.. no, I kinda prefer protecting the faces and muting the clanking against each other - tho I understand how some long time players prefer that sound (separate thread here somewhere) but then I rarely play with those really good players .. usually out on public - sloooow - courses.... So that's why I was out in such a hot day (one of the first non stormy days in a while) - chance to be out there by myself and able to play steadily along! ** ** oops sorry all ** not sure how that Bible pic got in there .. d'oh! ** StrokerAce and Rickp 2 Quote WITB of an "aspiring" play-ah ... cksurfdude
Went to a pitch & putt at a state park beach yesterday that's actually pretty good for short wedge practice. 18 holes, vary from 60 to 100 yards, cleared from the surrounding scrub pines .. and poison ivy! .. meanders through the dunes between the beach and the inner Bay. After crossing the causeway / bridge over the inner Bay (makes you think you're in the Florida Keys - speaking of Buffett!) you go over the "new" bridge (used to be a barge that went back and forth) to the barrier island... This is the walk from the parking lot - ocean Beach on the left... One of the holes looking back towards the inner Bay... Course and greens were in very good shape with all the rain we've had (and no extended hot streak -- yet!). Here's the green on that hole with a view back towards the "new" bridge in the background... You can't see it while you're out on the course but each 9 forms a loop that from overhead - they have a pic at the starter / cashier window - is a heart shape. Anyway, it's something different and it's kinda fun yungkory, downlowkey, StrokerAce and 2 others 5 Quote WITB of an "aspiring" play-ah ...
