Pine Ridge #8 165 par three, tiered green

attachicon.gifIMG_3648.JPG

Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

Man, its been a long time since I played Pine Ridge.   Actually, I'm hoping to play it with my brother in law before the end of the month.   I'm so old that I can remember when it was the venue for the LPGA's Lady Carling tournament.   My buds and I just had to go watch Jan Stephenson and Laura Baugh.   I also understand that while it is located in Baltimore County it is owned by Baltimore City.

There are several of us in the area that occasionally get together for some golf.  Keep an eye out, hope to see you at one of our outings.  Really a great bunch of guys, they put up with this old coot.

Played with MGSer Jeff this afternoon after being rained out on Weds. We had a great day at Bayou.

Here's his ball on 18.......⛳️

Not really we kept finding Pinnacles - we left them where the lay for someone else to pick up.

Agreed!  None better, and he has a wonderful family.

Had some tough greens last night. They rolled fast and were tricky to navigate. The scenery was great though! IMG_9154.JPGIMG_9155.JPG

A middle aged guy working hard to lower his handicap and have as much fun doing it. I'm typically a Titleist guy but last year put Srixon irons in the bag and have loved them. I've been lucky enough to play 3 times in the UK as well, just getting back from England and Ireland in July so I can help with questions on that front as well.

Well guys, I finally broke 90 with an 87 (+16) at the Country Club that I work at. Had some help from a few lie adjustments but no one saw.. here's my tee shot from #3, ~180 yard par 3 IMG_0440.JPG

We had just vented, top dressed, verticut and rolled the greens earlier in the day so they weren't rolling perfect, but still quick especially with the 90* weather we had today

Congrats! I broke 90 for the first time last year (played a 36 hole course, actually shot 80s on both courses in one day) and I was ecstatic the rest of the week. Coulda hit me in the face with a shovel and still would been smiling!!

Fully expected to take a few pix at Cane but too much fog and overcast.

But it was a good morning. shot 78, first time under 80 in a very long time. For some reason last night switched my trusty blade for my old timer Ping BeCu Anser 2. Putted better than usual so stays in the bag, for now.

Wasn't officially keeping score today but I shot a 39 on the front playing more tactically. Missed 4 birdie putts of 5-7". Coulda been a round for my record book.

Started off with a double after a crap pitch attempt got caught up in the rough.

Haha. Yeah! I'm gonna leave it at " not '. But yeah, putter was not working for sh!t.

#1 3 Putt Double from the stupidest pin location

*#2 was a 5' flat lip out,

#3 was a beautiful bogey save 9' from bunker

*#4 was another 6-7' lip out for bird

#5 4' Par

*#6 5-7' missed birdie

*#7 5-7' lip out birdie (this was more like 2.25')

#8 Par

#9 should have been a birdie hole. Read it too high and missed by a foot

So I guess I missed 5.
