Something never seen before. A limp flag at the Bayou club. Our club house is less than a mile from the Gulf of Mexico.

 

And I only had time to hit balls. It would have been a perfect day to play.

I was at the Gulf last week and I can attest the wind can be pretty darn harsh.   Especially with a tropical storm giving off some rain.  :blink:   We were in the Destin area on a family vacation staying in the Niceville area right off the bay. 

 

We played at: http://www.bwbresort.com/ and the par 3 course on Destin.  Had a blast!

 

Bluewater Bay was a beauty

Angry sky during our league round yesterday....finished up just in time; about 30 seconds after getting in the car the sky UNLOADED and dropped a bucket-ton of rain/hail down.

I played a course on Sanibel, I believe the dunes? I have never seen so much water on a course. There were also a number of unwanted followers similar to your friend. I don't think we finished the round. It was June-July time frame and the humidity was a killer.

I've played it many times and you're right it's a great course!   I'm a member at Lane Creek and occasionally when they have something going on there, we head over to UGA and I always enjoy it there.
