Absolutely and not many folks on here know KellyBo. She still plays golf however hasn't been on a golf forum in quite some time. More into photography these days.

We need a round again sometime in the near future or a tournament somewhere we can leverage​ her skills.

Presidents Golf Course just south of Boston. I was the Director/Superintendent there for 38 years.

The disadvantage of belonging to a club is that it's the same course for 90 percent of my rounds.the advantage is that if you have to play the same course all the time Bayou would be high on the list.

 

So I tried a few different shots for today. The first is looking at the 7th green from the shelter between 3 and 4. The second is 13 from the cart path (a great short par 4). The last is a shot of the clubhouse coming off of 18.

 

I learned today that our new Head Pro's wife was Penny's kindergarten teacher. We loved her because she had a child with CP. I also learned that he died around a year ago. That was sad to hear.

 

Our new deaconess learned not to call me on the golf course.

 

BTW if there are any single Lutheran guys on here in their late 20's to mid 30's who could relocate to St Pete, she's a keeper.

That happens in FL after aeration on some courses. Takes a long time to heal.

They were doing good the green was repaired last year and no one followed the signs to limit traffic. This was one of 3 greens that looked rough last year. Earlier in the year it looked better but not great. I'm hoping it heals fast I love the course its not too expensive and some fun holes.

Here it is:

 

Dennis, myself and Gary who made the hole in one that caused me to start taking pictures on number 3. Today he hit it to 3 feet there.

 

Lots of fun in a round that lasted 3 hours and fifteen minutes with scores of 78, 87, 92.

 

Now it's 145 and I'm back at the ER with Penny.

On a lighter note....

Post-round refreshments in a SKI LODGE .. yes, that's a chairlift in the background .. at the West Point NY Golf Course....

They're rebuilding the main clubhouse - way on the opposite side of the course - so this is the temp facility. The round starts currently on #5 (uphill, can't see the fairway landing area).

 

Interestingly, the US Mint at West Point is right next door - lots of big black gates and barriers in front of it.

When I got to hole #7 today, this was in the garbage can.  KBS C-Taper broken shaft above the head and under the grip.  Someone had a bad day!!

Not sure how long since but is now open to the public (big banner on the overpass bridge over Rte 9 telling you so). Originally learned of it from a friend who'd attended an outing there.

 

Beautiful course - tough (for me, anyway) track. But worth it!
