I'm not sure about laws regarding pets, but those are wild boars. They are obviously not native, and are a threat to the indigenous species in Hawaii, but they're not hunted down by the government like snakes are. Hawaii is very cautious about invasive species after they purposefully introduced the mongoose back in the sugar cane days -- to eat the rats.

On Kauai, there are probably more chickens than people, and they roam around everywhere.

There is also a pack of wallabies that live on Oahu. Not sure about their effect on the environment, but with no natural predators I hope it's not bad.

I don't believe wild boar is native to central Florida but they sure r here. We've seen quite a few of them especially early morning in the golf course. The Florida home boys who work GC maintenance love them. They catch them and in sure BBQ nicely.

BTW had a bit of a snake scare this AM. Hit a shot a bit long (skull) over the green a few feet from the swamp. Went down to the ball not paying attention and a bout a foot from my ball was a 5' snake. I got my fat arse otta there. Fortunately the snake went back into the swamp. Don't know what kind but wasn't anything I've seen B4 and don't want to see again.

Riding to the GC this am on the cart trail and a coyote ran across the trail in front of me. Tried to see where it was going but lost it as it went around a pond.

Good size coyote!

Played Isla del Sol today. Typical Florida club winding through condos. Lots of water, lots of sand, very tight. The condo is my buddy's who is currently up North. Don't tell him but we snuck in for a drink.

The soup was mushroom Brie. To die for good.

Fun day, fair golf, hot weather.

Mushroom soup is my favorite.  I think I had mushroom soup prepared a dozen different ways over the 10 years I went to Russia.  very popular there.
