The widest part is short which plays for a three wood or maybe iron. The widest part between the ponds maybe 40 yards. Classic old Florida course built in the 1920's. Walter Hagen was its first head pro! The greens are small, quick and undulating. Pins were tucked. I must admit that I would never volunteer for such a role. It would have to be a scenario where it was asked that anyone willing to assume the role should step forward and everyone else took a step back before I could. Even then, I probably wouldn't last long in that role. It's not to far from you and very reasonable greens fees. The north course is a bit more challenging with narrower fairways and more trees than the south course. Haven't seen a huge gator in probably ten years. But I still get nervous when I am alone on the course.
