Pics from the course

Recommended Posts

Awesome pics. I want to get out to Colorado to play sometime.

Everyone should experience playing at altitude sometime. The golf ball flies long and straight. The first Summer after moving up here from TX, I was always 3-5 yards right of target because the baby draw just refused to turn in the thin air. Additionally, the views around here are not too shabby.

Anyone else notice conditions of courses are slightly deteriorating? Was told that most courses now are allocating less towards course maintenance expenditures.Rise in chemical - gas costs and decreased play might be a factor.I think early 2000's was the best conditions I ever played on nationwide thru my travels

I've been pretty spoiled in regards to the courses that I've played since 2000. I lived in Sheboygan WI from 2000-2006 and regularly played the Kohler courses. They are always in great shape. Likewise in FL courses have to be in good shape or they go out of business. Even our muni is in reasonable condition so much so that they are redoing their greens this summer.

The biggest enemy to conditioning here are tropical storms.

Incredible demonstration of control with the baby wedge from 218 yards. You must be playing the K-Sig.

couple of things would happen if I attempted to hit a wedge 218 yards.

1..  My spine would be literally outside of my body, golfing career over.

2..  The ball would be unplayable after I put a dent right smack on the equator (followed by outcome #1)

Finally got out for round one of 2017 on Sunday. Considering how much record snow our mild climate Pacific Northwest temporal rainforest had this year I was surprised how good the conditions were.

Caddy: middle bunker and hammer it

Me: Any shot I get in the bunker?

Caddy: None whatsoever!

One of the more panoramic views from out North Course. This is behind the par 4 3rd hole looking back.

No 2 to the immediate left and No 1 through the trees.

Edit. Photo won't load. Will try later.

That is true but I think it was like 365 to the water. Not sure the bunker or the water should have been in play. The caddy did redeem himself and give me a good read on the putt for birdie.

Great day to be out on the course. This is the view from the tee on #14, one of my favorite holes at Spring Lake CC in SC. IMG_0935.JPG

Then happened to meet this furry guy on the way to the 17th tee. IMG_0937.JPG

Found this one from when my wife and daughter would meet me at my club during my lunch hour many years ago.
