Titleist 913D2 Adjustments

Upright will make it draw biased, flat will make it fade biased, increase in loft closes the head and decrease in loft opens the head. These are the general theories behind the settings. I play both my 917 D3 and F2 in the D1 setting to get an open look to my eye. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Early in the season for me - but am hooking badly. Not usually a problem for me. Just trying to get a better set-up. I'll try and decipher the chart. What would you recommend?

Try B1 which will make the setting flat and should help a bit or C1 which is flat and a bit open albeit with a loft decrease.  Without seeing your swing and the cause of the hook it is hard to say if a new setting will help or not.  Nice part about adjustable drivers is that you can experiment and if it doesn't work then you can just put it back to the baseline.

Question - I was just fit into a 21* h2 hybrid with the b2 setting and a 917 driver (9.5*) at the a2 setting.  Which would be more appropriate for a fairway wood (~15*) ?  Or should I just start at neutral and work from there?

Start neutral and work from there. I started my 917 fitting in A1 with the neutral weight and worked from there.

I play my 917 D3 in A1 with a 14g weight in the fade setting. I play my 917 F2 in D1 with the weight also in the fade setting. I fight a hook and in these settings it seemed to cure that in a similar way with each club. I liked the flight of the 3 wood with a little less loft as well as the open look at address it gave me.

Based on your fitting and going upright on both clubs I would assume you fight the miss right. If that is the case I would work more toward settings that promote a draw.

Also take note of you swing and the strike. If they are not what are your norms regroup and go after it another day. I have done fittings and was not in the form that I would consider normal to me and waked away and got back to it another day. A fitting is not the best time to work on swing issues.
