Damn.... I don't know who's wearing that thing in the photo above but it's more than a simple "band". Looks really bulky. Huge! Like a prison ankle-clamp tracking device.

Hello my name is Matthew Warren.

Dallas, Texas.

I am a 12 handicap as of right now, but I would like to get back to my prime of a 4 handicap now that the spring has come and I have way more free time.

I have used the TrackMan Golf launch monitor several times when I worked at a local golf course. Almost every week a traveling shaft distributor would come out to our course to aid in getting our members/ customers to get the right shaft they needed. Prior to the afternoon rush of golf carts coming in or during the day while a tournament was being played, I would go out and use the TrackMan launch monitor to compare different shafts, which ball I should use, and worked on shot shaping.

I am a former member of the PGA Tour Superstore Performance Practice Center where they had a 3-Trak launch monitor to analyze my swing not only from a launch pad, but with video playback and touchscreen software.

I have demoed trackers that attach to my shaft such as the Sky Caddie.

I can not recall a brand name, but I have tried some that place monitors in the butt end of my grips as well.

I have also tried several free phone apps that claim to be as good as launch monitors, requiring someone to film me, and provide results on my mobile device without a computer necessary.

Currently use swing by swing app for tracking

Play about 5x/month though this will definitely get me out there a bit more for testing; looking forward to tightening up my distances
