Strengths - don't have many that stand out. Playing with 20 year old wedges. Hardly any grooves yet.

Weaknesses - all short game shots! Can't spin anything without grooves. Not the right flex.

I wish I could afford new wedges to improve this part of my game. I find myself being creative with my 7, 8, 9 or PW. Have to be. This would be an awesome giveaway for me to win to up my game.

Thanks.

(4) TESTERS WANTED

PING Glide 2.0 Wedges

Can PING's new wedges change your short game?

For most golfers, the search for a new short game begins and ends with Vokey, Cleveland or Callaway – the Holy Trinity of Wedges.

PING feels its new Glide 2.0 wedges should be part of that conversation, thanks to new sole grinds, improved groove technology and spin-preserving hydrophobicity (look it up). Add a host of no-upcharge shaft options and PING's legendary color-coded customization and you have a wedge the company feels belongs on the main stage.

Testers Wanted!

As you know, MyGolfSpy never takes an OEM's word for anything. We believe in #datacratic testing, and #PowerToThePlayer isn't just a hashtag, it's a mission statement. We want to see if the new PING Glide 2.0's can indeed turn the Big Three into the Fab Four, and we need your help to find out.

MyGolfSpy is looking for 4 avid golfers with a passion for their short game to test (and keep) a customized 3-wedge set of the new Glide 2.0 wedge, and then share their findings with the MyGolfSpy Community.

Rich B

Boulder Colorado

Strenth: Sand and full shots

Weakness: pitches, half shots, chipping around the green from tight lies and any rough.

Current wedges: vokey 6 50/08, Callaway PM 58/10, older Gen Taylormade ATM 64/?

Have 30 used/recycled wedges that rotate after bad rounds.

Ideal is a matched set to maintain consistency.

Set: Ideal would probably be 52*SS, 56*WS, 60TS, 2 degrees flat, 3/4" short, KBS shafts.

Have been a big fan of Ping forever, though currently only have 17 and 26 degeree hybrids in bag.

Michael Mclaughlin

Chicago Illinois

11.3 handicap

Left handed

I play on the Golfweek AM Tour and roughly play 75-80 rounds per year

I have recently changed my entire bag to ping, however I still have the Vokey wedges. I had planned on purchasing thes wedges to compliment my ping Iblades. So here the deal, I'm a lefty, this will give you perspective for out lefty readers. My strengths include bunker play and flop shots, bump and runs I'm getting better with.

Driver: Ping G 9.0 Degree with a Fukijura Pro tour 65 stiff

3 Wood Ping G25 with a diamana Ahina 72x flex

5 Wood Titelist 910 with a Diamana Ahina 82x Flex

3-PW Ping IBlades true temper s300

50 degree wedge Titelist Vokey sm5 10 bounce

56 bent to 55 degree Titelist Vokey sm5 8 bounce

60 degree wedge Titelist Vokey sm6 10 bounce

What I believe I would need is the Glide 2.0 in (left hand) 50,56,60 all in the SS, but wiling to try other options as beggars can't be choosers...

Did I mention I'm on the Chicago Fire Department and I'm a paramedic, I get my butt kicked on the ambulance all day long and golf is a way for me to deal with all the terrible things I see day in and day out!!!

Thank you for the opportunity

Strengths - don't have many since I play with 20 year old wedges. No grooves to speak of.

Weaknesses - probably playing with 20 year old wedges. No spin, wrong flex etc.

I find myself being creative with my 7, 8, 9 & PW since they are not as old.

This would be a good time to enjoy some new equipment.

Thanks.

I just became a new member to your forum, (TPC).  In my initial introduction signup, I stated I have been playing Ping irons for many years.  I have tried other sets, and do own a set of AP2's, which are ok.  I would love to demo the Ping Glide wedges.
