(4) TESTERS WANTED

PING Glide 2.0 Wedges

Can PING's new wedges change your short game?

For most golfers, the search for a new short game begins and ends with Vokey, Cleveland or Callaway – the Holy Trinity of Wedges.

PING feels its new Glide 2.0 wedges should be part of that conversation, thanks to new sole grinds, improved groove technology and spin-preserving hydrophobicity (look it up). Add a host of no-upcharge shaft options and PING's legendary color-coded customization and you have a wedge the company feels belongs on the main stage.

Testers Wanted!

As you know, MyGolfSpy never takes an OEM's word for anything. We believe in #datacratic testing, and #PowerToThePlayer isn't just a hashtag, it's a mission statement. We want to see if the new PING Glide 2.0's can indeed turn the Big Three into the Fab Four, and we need your help to find out.

MyGolfSpy is looking for 4 avid golfers with a passion for their short game to test (and keep) a customized 3-wedge set of the new Glide 2.0 wedge, and then share their findings with the MyGolfSpy Community.

I am replying to the Ping Glide testers wanted.  I play Ping I 20 but with an old Hogan Apex shaft.  I just like the shaft.  But I have found the I20 heads  have helped  by improving my miss hits.

I don't change clubs very often. But as most golfers, I try new equipment to see if it helps my game.  I have  tried the  Cleveland's, Vokey's, Callaway"s and Tour Edge,  but nothing has worked as well as the wedges I have played for a long time. ( Tour Edge Tour Pronto 52*/12* bounce, Hogan Special 56 */ 10* bounce and a Hogan Legend 58* bounce with 6* bounce.

If selected, I will give you an honest feed back.  If your clubs do not improve

my short game, I will certainly return them.  If I see improvement, I will most happily pay you for them.

Looking at your wedge site I  thought this combination would work best, but I am open to try your recommendations.

52 ES, 56SS and 58TS.

Sincerely, Ned Abernathy

John

Strengths:  pitching the ball, out of the rough/deep lies, flop shots and out of the bunkers.  I generate a lot of spin on the ball, so I can stop the ball quickly on firm greens.

Weaknesses:  50-80 yard shots, tight lies and spinning the ball too much.  I sometimes have a problem controlling the amount of spin that I put on the golf ball.

Right handed, Ping Glide 2.0 50 Degree SS Green color code, Project X 6.0 plus 3/4", Ping 5 L Cord in Gold color code grip

Right handed, Ping Glide 2.0 54 Degree ES Green color code, Project X 6.0 plus 3/4", Ping 5 L Cord in Gold color code grip

Right handed, Ping Glide 2.0 58 Degree ES Green color code, Project X 6.0 plus 3/4", Ping 5 L Cord in Gold color code grip

I just ordered and received a set of Ping I200's and this would be amazing to have the wedges to go with my new irons!

Richard Wilson

Wichita, Ks

handicap: 3.4

Strenth: sand shots and half wedge shots.

Weakness: full wedges. Have habit for being 60 yards from green and still bring 20 feet from pin.

Never owned ping wedges before. Always have used Titleist.

Set: 50ss, 56es, 60ts. Standard length, -1/64 on grip. Have missing finger tips.

This would be an awesome chance to test the 2.0's. I would love to see if the wedges have as much an impact on my game. Need to take to next level.

Rob Clanton

Phoenix, AZ

3.7 index

Currently have Glide 1, 50 SS, 54SS, 60 SS adjusted to 59, blue dot stock CFS wedge shafts.

I play with big hitters and I am not that big.  The Glides keep me in the game with those guys and drive them crazy.  I have about worn those wedges out and am ready for new ones with the same specs.

Most of my practice time is from 100 yards and in and around the chipping green, so these Glide 2.0s would be tested very thoroughly.
