mikdivad 1
Name: Dave Hometown/State/province: Chicago IL Strength & weakness of your short game: I've recently fallen in love with practicing all my shots from 115 and in, which basically means I practice with my wedges for 1-2 hours a day on my SkyTrak in my basement. I've developed a stock shot and "sawed-off" shot (which is what I like to call it since it's a little more than a three quarter shortened swing) for each of my three wedges, which means I can really fine tune distances and spins and trajectory depending on what I need. I've recently been working on punch shots as well that get me specific yardages from 50-70 yds that have one hop and stop, all with a wedge of course. Now all of these are works in progress so they can easily turn from a strength to a weakness in the course of a round, but I'm getting pretty good at them, especially the sawed off shots. The PING Glide 2.0 specs for a 3-wedge set that best fit your game: 50SS/54SS/58WS (last one bent to 59 degrees weaker loft). All bent one degree flat lie. KBS Tour stiff shafts. Golf Pride Tour velvet mid size grip with one wrap. Fingers crossed! Current Clubs: 2017 Taylormade M1 460 (12° w/ Fujikura XCL8R Stiff Shaft), '14 Callaway Apex Pro 5-AW Irons (KBS Tour V Stiff shafts), Callaway XR 5 wood, Mizuno MP-5 54° wedge, Titleist SM6 57° & 59° wedge, Odyssey Works Two Ball Fang putter (Superstroke Mid 2.0 XL counterbalanced grip)
2putts 0
Tony Picton, Ontario Handicap. 16 Age 59 I would like to test the New Ping Glide 2.0 wedges. I am a big Ping fan. I currently have K15 driver and 3-wood, all 5 G15 hybrids, I3-O irons. All RH, reg flex. All with mcc4 grips. My current wedges, 52, 56, 60 degree are Nike. I would love try to add the Ping Glide 2.0 wedges to my set. My short game is one of the stronger areas in my game, but a bit inconsistent. When I chip well, I score well. Between real grass and and optishot simulator, I play about a 130 rounds a year. Thanks for listening.
TPCJake 5
Brandon Snoqualmie, WA I spend a significant amount of time in the short game practice area at our course. Distance control is a strength thanks to the Pelz method!. Bunker play could use some fine tuning. I am gaming the original Glide wedges. I would love to put the new up against the old. Here's what I need: All 3 standard length, Nippon Modus 3 Tour 105 shafts, Blue dot, New Decade MCC grip. 50 degree, Standard Sole - Custom Lob Combo Grind, 54 degree, bend it to 55, Standard Sole, Lob Combo Grind, 60 degree Thin Sole, Half Moon Grind, Looking forward to giving these a try!!! I's's send pics of how the custom grinds look, I have the Back/Heel grind on my current 50. The custom grind program at Ping is pretty awesome. They come out looking great!
