TESTERS ANNOUNCED: PING Glide 2.0 Wedges

Recommended Posts

Ryan

Buffalo, NY

Strength: Greenside bunkers and flop type shots when short sided or not much of a carry between myself and the hole

Weakness: Long pitches and bump and runs where I have a long distance between myself and the hole. Tend to hit the ball thin, thinking its partially a bounce issue.

52SS, 56SS, and 60WS - KBS Tour Stiff, Red Dot, Dyla-Wedge White code

Strength: Great from 80 yards in with good height and spin. Sand shots are also good.

Weakness: Still working on distance from 120-80 yards. A full 52 leaves me a little short but a half PW gets me closer.

I'm very good at chipping from around the green.  I struggle with short to mid distance wedge shots off of tight lies.  I also struggle with distance control out of the bunker.

I currently game ping I25 irons and have been a ping iron guy for a long time.

My ideal set-up would be:

50 degree SS, 54 degree SS, 58 degree SS, I'm standard length and lie, black dot on my wedges which is a little flatter than the blue dot I use on my irons, stiff flex.

Strength: good hands and creativity

Weakness: distance control from 40yds in, especially in bunkers

Play the new Miura Genesis irons that are phenomenal and Harry Taylor custom wedges that are very good but a bit on the 'one size fits all' theory -- given size of the company and looking for more precise fit to my game

(4) TESTERS WANTED

PING Glide 2.0 Wedges

Can PING's new wedges change your short game?

For most golfers, the search for a new short game begins and ends with Vokey, Cleveland or Callaway – the Holy Trinity of Wedges.

PING feels its new Glide 2.0 wedges should be part of that conversation, thanks to new sole grinds, improved groove technology and spin-preserving hydrophobicity (look it up). Add a host of no-upcharge shaft options and PING's legendary color-coded customization and you have a wedge the company feels belongs on the main stage.

MyGolfSpy is looking for 4 avid golfers with a passion for their short game to test (and keep) a customized 3-wedge set of the new Glide 2.0 wedge, and then share their findings with the MyGolfSpy Community.
