Lray1155
Are you staying in North MB or closer to 501? If north MB then the Cat courses are all fine.. Tigers Eye, Lions Paw, etc. I have not played them outside of a "Play and stay" package so I cant say what their rack rates are. April thru June is the prime time in MB so you will be paying their top rates, but the weather should make it worth while. Another nice set of courses is the Barefoot collection. 4 courses. 3 play out of one clubhouse and the Dye course has its own. Dye will likely be beyond your budget, but the other 3 may be close ...Davis Love, Norman, and Fazio. I played em all. Fazio my fave. Dye nice but not worth the upcharge IMO. They filmed a Big Break at Barefoot a couple years ago. Not as familiar with 501 area except for The Legends. They are a golf factory. Ok courses but you will wait on every shot. Cant recommend unless you dont mind waiting.... Hope that helps
Drtheel
Going down 17-21 April with a group of 5 or 6 guys to play golf and drink!!! What are some of the nicer but yet affordable courses to play? $60 or less maybe..??? Legends Resort usually really good. Nice and different courses with good facilities as well. 3 courses at main location and two offsite - oyster bay older more traditional And Heritage club is nice as well. Haven't looked at prices but package might keep you at prices. MGoBlue100
I'll be there at the same time for a work conf in N MB. I'm more familiar with that area. Lots of moderately priced courses up that way that are pretty nice. Also know a couple in NC (30 min drive) that are REALLY good! Hit me up for restaurant ideas too! sixcat
I'm not a Myrtle fan but have been several times. I always play the course at Coastal Carolina University when i'm there. I have known several kids who have gone to school there for turf management. The turf management program at the school manage, maintain and care for the course. It's always in very good condition and is a super fun layout. And you could likely play twice for your $60!
