DK03
Hey folks, My name is Dave, and while I've followed MyGolfSpy on instagram and twitter for some time now, the recent Power to the Player videos got me following a little closer over the last few weeks. I've been golfing since I was 8 or 9, hit a real serious stretch in my early 20s when my handicap was in the single-digits before kids and career had me playing only a handful of rounds a year. That career, for a short time, included traveling and writing about the tour. I'm definitely a tinkerer -- I got into paint filling last year and I'd like to start putting together a little shop of my own for shafting and regripping. Happy to find a place that loves every aspect of the game that I do. Also... how do I add manufacturer logos to a signature?? hckymeyer
Fantastic. Can I ask what you've picked up for equipment? Did you buy new? Used? I've got most of my stuff from golfworks.com First thing I got was a swing weight scale and then last year I added a shaft extractor. This year was the vertical belt sander. That's the big stuff. Little stuff I've just gotten as needed and over time. Rubber shaft clamp, various tip weights, ferrules of choice, epoxy, metal ruler. Then stuff I already had on my work bench like a vise and air compressor. The big stuff that I've found useful is the swing weight scale and the shaft extractor. Those are the things I can't do by hand without the appropriate tool. Some day it would be cool to have a loft & lie machine, but those are expensive and it's all just personal use so it's not cost effective to get one. Plus I have a buddy that has one.
