Okay used club buyers ... especially those of you that use flea-bay.... have you ever tried fatfingers.com ?

 

It basically takes advantage of people who can't spell.  Don't believe me?  Try putting 'Titleist' in .... you can't imagine how many people can't spell Titleist - EVEN WHEN IT'S ON THE CLUB!

 

There are pages of deals with no bids because people search for the properly spelled word, not the misspelled one.

 

Callaway is another fun one.

 

I try it every once in a while and find some real gems.... they are a couple really nice 60 degree Vokey wedges super cheap out there.

I've never used that site, but do search mis-spelled words now and then. Those goofballs (I mean deals) are definitely out there!

I have searched some misspellings before.....I think this USED to be a great way to find deals, but very few people actually use 'auctions' now, most just do a fixed price....i'm sure some deals can still be had though

I agree... but what I've seen is you have auctions with no bids that are ending quite soon in which the seller set the starting price low.  And most of the auctions do not use a reserve price.

Couple that along with the fact that some have best offer and it's possible to get some real bargains.

Very cool. With the advent of autocorrect, this happens much more now a days. The auto correct will split words like 'Callaway' because it thinks it's 'call away'.

Give it a year... the evnroll are fairly new.

 

Try Mizuno!  that's a good one.

Obviously words that are easy to spell like "Ping" won't work, but TaylorMade, Mizuno, Titleist, etc.  Fun just to see what happens!

 

Also - be sure to check the settings before you click 'find'... you can limit your search on ebay to various things.

Cool site.  As mentioned, it seems that eBay's new list it free policy encourages fixed price listings at high prices.  After all if it doesn't sell it doesn't cost anything.
