Is 25 too late to start playing?

Nope.  But wow those young kids are AMAZING.  When I first started, me and a couple of guys were basicly looking for a new way to drink beer.  We dressed up like the Three Stooges and played a round a Miami Shores Golf Club.  I nearly took out the driver of a Mercedes SL.  Three holes later, one of my playing partners succeeded in taking me out; nailed a drive into the back of my left hand.  I couldn't grip a club for the rest of the day.  Didn't matter - still had a blast.  I was hooked.  That was 19 years ago.  Man, I wish I had started playing at a younger age!  I've always been athletic but have never taken golf lessons (dumb, I know).  Ben Hogan's Five Lessons plus self-taught.  I practice a lot, but maybe not the right things.  If anyone out there lives by the Broward/Palm Beach boarder in Florida, I'd love to get a round in.  Will travel.  Nothing beats playing for the first time at a new course!

Driver: my last three were Cobras:  Long Tom (more fun on the range than on Sunday), BioCell+ and now I'm swinging 2015 King Pro

Fairway metals: Tour Edge Exotics XCG7s, beta 3 wood and 19 hybrid

Irons and wedges: I'm a Mizuno Evangelist.

Putter: anyting that works - got a ton of broken putters in my garage.  The recent EvenRoll reviews have inspired me to dust off an old Rife 460 Tour Blade.  She helped us win a member/guess a few weeks back so I think she's staying in the bag for a while.

Ball: B330RX, although the ChromeSofts make me smile.

Players: I was rooting for Justin Leonard when Tiger was storming the league, so, you know...  Tom Watson, Freddie Couples, Zach Johnson, Rickie Fowler...  and I freaking had Stuart Cink for the 2009 Open

one more thing.  Let's Go HEAT!!!

Currently (and for quite some time) gaming Bridgestone, Rife, Mizuno, Exotics and Cobra.

I just started last year at 25 and I wish I wouldn't started long, long ago. I never knew I would be this addicted to it.

I have a 12 year old who has no interest. My almost 8 year old is ready to play more this year. We got him a brand new US Kids set. Excited to get him out. Won't get in as much trouble with the wife if I drag a kid out with me for 4hours. Plus it helps me relax more and be patient with my swing and his!

We have to start them young to keep the greatest game ever created going in the right direction.

I started at 45... that was 25 years ago, and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.  I do wish I had started at 25 but I had other interests;  softball, volleyball, and auto racing.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I first picked up a club when I was 16 but never took lessons or really took the game seriously until I was around 30.  25 is definitely not too late to pick up the game.

I started at 26... yeah, too late to be a pro, but definitely not too late to enjoy the game!
