Rikki03038
Three biggest things... 1 uneven tee boxes. When your hitting the big stick having one foot above the other or the ball above or below is terrible. My swing is enough of a handicap. 2 no sand or poorly maintained bunkers. Again difficult shot in the best of conditions. People rake sand bank into the bunkers not up the side and out of it! And always rake. 3 if you're doing maintenance do not start up a leafblower or mower in my backswing! RKHOWND
I'm 100% with the Uneven tee boxes. If that's what the designer wants for a challenge or the super thinks is a good way to add to ones enjoyment then It's only a course I'll play once. Here in AZ there are several options in every 20 miles radius, to stay in business they have to stay on point. Thanks, Jack
Smalls1588
Not really a course thing, but that one over-protective ranger has sort of always irked me. I'm all for courses with multiple rangers who facilitate rules and pace of play, and throughout my career I've met some incredible people who are very passionate about the game. But there's always that bad egg in the bunch that takes their job maybe a little to seriously or sees younger players on the course and assumes they do not understand golf etiquette or pace of play (I also understand that there are disrespectful younger players that don't understand the game and that is why there is that reputation). I was always taught that if you do not respect the course and golf etiquette than you have no business being out there. I guess what I'm trying to say is I always hated getting the stink-eye when I would practice out on the course and hit two balls or replay a shot when I am clearly not holding up play in any way. For anyone that works on a golf course reading this I really appreciate the work you do! PlaidJacket
Peeve ---- Stop talking to my shots. If anyone is supposed to talk to a shot I make it's me. I own it. But I have a friend that from the split second he sees a shot going in some direction other than at the perfect intended target he starts saying... whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.... all the way until it stops. Other times he's telling my ball to get down or get up or hurry. Drives me crazy. And while I'm on the subject. Stop with all the Good Shot remarks the second a ball is struck. Let the ball finish and then say Good Shot. If it was. Otherwise keep your trap shut. One of my biggest annoyances, I don't mind so much from a friend but when I get paired with a stranger and all he does is talk to my bad shots, it drives me nuts, so bad one day I actually had to say something, once I did not a peep from the offending ball talker. Zylem
Having pins 4 feet from the front or back of the green all round. I understand you want to challenge people on some holes but come on it's a Saturday round not a US open qualifier. Tee boxes that are not lined up with the hole or fairway. It just pure laziness to not make sure the tee markers are lined up square.
