I like the idea of getting a prize for ctp, even better if it's a box of premium golf balls like pro v1's. Logos of the course would be fine for me. If your going to use it for all your tourneys, then a generic saying like "pinseeker", "par 3 Slayer" or "CTP Master" might be cool for a tag line (or any of the previous lines mentioned).

 

You could just put the company logo on and leave it at that as well, with a less is more thought. Or company logo with website/phone number on it. Double as a marketing thing.

The course logo I wouldn't be bothered by at all, but "Contest Winner" may not be my favorite personalization. I'd be satisfied with just the course logo on it personally, but if it did have a personalization on it, I think just a hashtag or phrase on it wouldn't be too much. Like #PowerToThePlayer or something along those lines that makes it "personal". That's just a 23-year old opinion, though haha

As far as the logo goes unless it covers a huge portion of the ball - so minor that it is trivial.  There are some superstitious guys (or gals) out there that won't use a ball with a logo.

 

How about a stamp instead of a logo?

If the balls had a logo, I wouldn't use them - they would go in the collection of other things to look at.

 

I also like the idea of medals or plaques.

 

Even a hand-stamped copper ball marker! or a divot tool would be good - something that the winner use, but not lose.

I like this as it suits me too.

A nice high end divot tool with ball marker is always welcome and when used encourages others to do the same.

The V's would be given away to friends and others on the tee box.

Logo wouldn't bother me. Think the idea of ProV1s is great.

 

I tried to come up with a great tag line but do think the tournament name and the year is solid. Also might even add the course name to it too.

I like the idea of a customized ball marker or a nice divot tool. I have a hard time seeing white golf balls in the air and i would end up giving them away. The other downside of balls is that I lose them too quickly. Ball markers and divot tools last a long time and are cool to have around.

Free is free. Wouldn't care at all about the logo. If it's a good ball, I'd put it in play the next day.

By winning any type of prize would be an accomplishment. There for with the personalization stated would be awesome to win. Having the course logo would also be a nice touch just not too big of a distraction on the ball. Other than that I believe anyone would be happy with the PROV's!

Free pro v's ..nothing to complain about here. Logos never bothered me, if anything I prefer so I know what ball is mine when playing with friends.

Congrats to CJWeigmann as his post was randomly selected to receive the prize of a Dozen ProV1's   They may or may not have a logo on them....he'll have to wait and see...

 

Also a consolation prize is being sent to cnosil for his brilliant idea of imprinting a redeemable value on the ball.  We may or may not use that in some way, but I've been thinking a lot over the weekend in different ways it could be used.   Also once redeemed, we could sell the ball individually in a "used" ball jar for say $2.00 and that way it could be used over and over again.   The gift that keeps on giving as Cousin Eddie might say...HA

I wouldn't care either way. I agree having it Say "contest winner" or something to that effect would be cool. Or promoting the event or charity.

Side note, a member of a club I played at used to put his name and business on his Pro V. He owned a local jewelry store and it said "bring in for 10% off your next purchase"

also I should say, these are meant to be used the entire season for every outing, so having an individual outing name isn't an option in this case. We do that for ones that are being given away at registration as a gift for outings that buy them.

Yes, I wanted to know from players perspective how they would feel winning PROV's with a logo or inscription. Would they feel it cheapened it

 

The other items you mentioned have all been discussed. Yeti Tumblers with our small discreet logo were really a hot idea. Apparently though Yeti won't deal with you unless your talking thousands of tumblers not hundreds.

 

I also like the Puma SoundChuck. Especially the new mini one. We couldn't get it logo'd (we asked) but it would be a cool gift.
