Unreal but seriously that pilot had to be one hell of a pilot to even taxi the plane to that spot without hitting anything

Guy landed on Hwy 99, a 4 lane Highway.  It is a miracle that no one was injured..

Wow, that is nuts. Glad no one got hurt on the landing. Imagine if you were one of the cars on 99 and see a plane landing behind you in the rear view mirror.

Hwy 99 can be pretty busy at certain times of the day.  I'm glad no one was hurt, and make sure that he doesn't do it when I stop by after Mother's Day.  It's my birthday, and I feel the need to buy something!!

Like I said pretty skilled pilot. We have had a few emergency landings here over the years. A few years ago one of the banner planes made an emergency landing on the 10th fairway at Wicked Stick Golf Course (sadly now gone) That same plane ditched in the ocean up in North Myrtle 2 weeks later no injuries again.

 

About 6 years ago during an air show one of the vintage WW2 trainer planes had engine trouble and landed on the beach at Ocean Lakes campground again no injuries. I ended up towing that one myself 2 miles back to the airport wings and all. They brought out the tow bar made for it and it hooked to the wheel lift on my wrecker. The Police blocked the road and I towed it wings and all 2 miles to the airport. It was only a 16 foot wing span. I went right up Kings Highway with it and into the back side of the airport. Heck they even shut down the airport runways so I could get across the tarmac to the hangers. That plane was about the span of the one in your pic I think it was either a Piper or Cessna
