Canucklehead
I know some of you are lucky enough to play year round... But for those who aren't able to play all 365, what let's you know that golf season is right around the corner? Most years The Masters means only one or two weekends until the courses open in my neck of the woods. This year though, Mother Nature was a real b!tch and decided to dump more white stuff on us a couple times in April. Before we got all the extra snow I was at my course talking with the pro and he had no idea when the course was opening cause there was a bunch of snow. So not too sure when I'll finally be able to get out and kick the season off. Canucklehead Sent from my E6853 using MyGolfSpy mobile app
Shankster
When the damn snow melts, for the 4th time. So around August. Then I get 3 weeks. Sounds like you have about the same season. Let's all move south. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

MDGolfHacker
March 1st is the general date I go with. Sometimes there's snow or it's still cold but I try and start to do some range time to get ready for whenever the first round might be. MDGolfHacker TSssWhat's In This Lefty's Bag? TSauer
Whenever the weather is constant and stays above 45 degrees or so. Here in Missouri it's always changing, so I could go out in January one week in the 60s, then it could be 20 and snowing in March. It's bipolar. mrsmith123
Here in the Mitten it can be lion or lamb in springtime. Regardless though I don't normally hit the course or practice tee until the weather is going to be clear for certain. Usually that is early May, and play through October, maybe November. wbealsd
I'm still waiting... On days when it's not raining or dropping below 50* with 20+ mph winds, I'm trying to get to the range to get in "golf shape." Hopefully, by next weekend, I can start to get some regular play. TheWahoo
For me, it pretty much mirrors the dates when the club's handicap system open and close for posting scores for MISGA (Maryland Interclub Senior Golf Association).
