What shot makes you feel the best?

 

A perfect drive.

 

A difficult putt.

 

That pure iron shot.

 

Sticking that wedge close.

 

 

 

I'm sure they are more shots to pick from, but for me there is nothing better than a great iron shot. Possibly because it leads to much better scores for me, but every time I get to pull out that iron, I get excited. What is your favorite?

That pure iron shot for me. I still remember a couple of Iron shots that I hit that were just so good that I didn't really care about the end result. In fact, one memory I had was a long approach shot to a green and used my Mizuno MP-32 4 iron. Hit it so flushed but it felt like I hit nothing at all. Beautiful flight and trajectory, promptly airmailed the green. Didn't care, OK I did care a little

Definitely an iron shot for me. Not only does it physically feel the best, but it generally means I'll be scoring well on the hole

Mine would be sticking a Iron shot, I suck at putting so anything that can get me closer to the hole makes me happy.

I'll have to go with a pure iron shot.

 

Chipping one in has got to be up there too. Nothing like moving on to the next hole without having to bring the putter out.

I like the feel of a well struck iron shot, the ones that feel like a practice swing, and well struck drives to make the hole shorter, sticking those wedges is my best part of my game.

 

If I could putt, watch out.

I drive green 203 with my 3Wood the other day.... don't get me wrong it felt AWESOME!!!!

 

But, I'll take sticking a wedge within 3 feet ANY day!!!

Depends on the round for me and usually after a round there are a handful of shots that stick in my mind. Today it was a hybrid from 251 into the 5th hole that was pured and hit the right front of the green and a 4 iron into nine that was flushed.

Because it's the poorest part of my game, a well struck 4-6 iron. Especially if it's a par 3 and it stays on the green

I would have said a long putt awhile back, but I've realized most are flukes or luck. On the other hand, I've never flubbed an iron and felt great about it. To me hitting an iron dead pure is a great feeling and the best.

This is a difficult one. It'd be between a pure iron shot and draining a long putt for me. Hitting a shot so perfect that you don't really feel it, just feels... well, great.

 

But when you're on the green, far from the pin, and you putt one and just watch it roll for a few seconds and drop... now that's a great feeling.

Best feeling:  Well-struck pure iron.  Absolutely nothing like that feeling with a classic forged blade.

 

Most rewarding:  Watching a birdie putt fall

 

Favorite:  The gimme - I've been conceded the hole
