Taylor made new trade up program

Has everyone heard about this? Apparently Taylormade has modeled a new program like most people do with their phones to pay monthly and then upgrade after a year.

 

What are your thoughts on this? It's this an innovative idea or not so much? Would anyone use this?

Yea this is such a gimmick. TMade used to be a legit contender for really good product and cycle life. Starting in about 2009 they really have been going deeper into a negative cycle. They pay way too many guys on tour to advertise their stuff, and that no longer translates into sales at the local golf shop. Not even Dick's Sports is gonna keep stocking their crap after a while.

 

They've made some awesome products (Burner '06 driver, 2011 MB irons) but the vast majority fall into this grey zone of "not high quality but cheap enough to stock".

 

Trying to get people to "lease" golf clubs like cars is ridiculous.

Yes well hopefully no one would be using it and still have to make that choice. Definitely need a priorities switch is that is the case
