Mizuno Blue Ion T7 Wedges

Anyone have these wedges?  Just received mine in the mail yesterday, cant wait to try it out this weekend.  Just trying to get some feedback to see what others think about them.

I just picked T7 54/8 not in the blue.

Will practice this weekend with it. Like the idea of wider grooves.

 

Played the MP-T5 wedge, hoping they play the same.

I am shopping for new wedges and since I have almost all white and blue mizuno bag and play mizuno irons, I keep gravitating towards these. All of the reviews seem great, so PLEASE let me know how you like them. I don't want to be the guy that picks up some clubs just to look good, and they really don't seem all that innovative or special but the boron seems like it could help with durability and I like the idea of groove and sole progression between lofts, so any good or bad feedback would be appreciated!

Made it out to the course this weekend to see what this wedge can do, luckily I missed a lot of greens so it got put to the test.  The wedge I got was the T7 Blue Ion 54-08 with KBS C-Taper Stiff shaft.  After one round I am very pleased with the results. 

 

Pros:  This wedge has a nice soft feel to it, I have always been pretty good around the greens and I love the way this wedge feels.  Was able to open up the wedge and the club slipped under the ball with no problems even on tighter lies.   As far a spin, it seemed like I was able to get more spin on the ball with the T7 than with my Calloway X-forged wedge, which could also be because the X-forged wedge groves are a little worn     but it did seem like the ball spun really well with this wedge.

 

Cons:  So far the only thing I can see as far as a con is this blue finish isn't going to last long!

no course experience, but got to demo one over the weekend, and the 60-06 was soooooo nice. I play MP T11s which are several years old at this point , and this 60 was nice and easy to get up and go where i wanted

I had the s5 in the blue ion and I have to say they were very nice. I have only hit the t7 at demo day and they were very good. No doubt you'll be happy with them!

I must say, the #NothingFeelsLikeAMizuno tag is spot on. catching one pure feels like absolute butter and you will learn to love them.

I took the 54 T7 out for a round after work.

Been using the SM6 M grind for a year now.

I could not get along with the Mizzy grind, and when I did hit them solid come up short.

Maybe later this year I will give it another try.
