Reesedw
I started thinking after posting about using Westley Bleche Wite to clean grip, And yes it was painful... We all have golf hack we know about, such as using a tee to repair ball marks. Using Charcoal lighter fluid in place of grip solvent... What are yours? We all might learn a few things.. Mine: 1) Westley Bleche Wite to clean grips 2) Using Charcoal lighter fluid in place of grip solvent 3) Using a tee to repair ball marks Dave- Follow me on twitter @GolfCrazyWA and on Instagram @GolfcrazyWA WITB: Cobra Ultralite Cart Bag Titleist TSR3 Hzrdus Black 65g shaft Cobra F8+ 3wd Hzrdus Red 65g shaft Cobra 3 hybrid Rogue Pro 75g Shaft Cobra 4 hybrid Rogue Pro 75g Shaft Cobra F8 irons 5-GW KBS tour 90 stiff shafts Cobra King Black Wedge 54* Cleveland RTX Zipcore Wedge 58* Snake Eyes Viper Putter. Liberty Ball Markers
I always chew on a tee while I play - it's like a pacifier, and also used for divot repair. I use mineral spirits for grip solvent - you can buy a huge can for cheap at the hardware store. I'll have to think - I'm sure my cheap a$$ has others! chisag
... When flying I cover my forged iron heads with my Thorlo socks. They are pretty thick and protect the soft carbon steel from getting any dings. Of course coming home the irons don't care if the socks are dirty so they go back on for the return trip too. If you are unlucky enough to find yourself in poison ivy/oak/sumac, immediately swabbing it with the alcohol wipe gets the urushiol (poisonous plant resin) off your skin, keeping you from both breaking out in a rash and spreading it to other areas. ______S9-1 Pro D - Matrix Ozik XCON 6 S ______S9-1 Pro 15* - Matrix Ozik XCON 7 S ________3DX 17* - Matrix Ozik Altus Hybrid SG ______ICON Black 4-PW - KBS Tour V S __________588 RTG 49 RTX 52.10 56.12 - DG S400 ______Amazing Grace NYC Tour CS _______'19 TP5X (the preceding have all been gamer approved) "The most important shot in golf is the next one“ - Ben Hogan

TSauer
I'm with alien on the solvent hack. It works so well and it's cheap for a large jug. I keep one of those rain jackets that's folds into itself in my bag. It has come in handy a number of times when rain showed up unexpectedly. You know those brushes you put in your car in the winter to brush the snow off? Well I have one of those in my vehicle that I just haven't brought inside. It works well for brushing the grass and dirt off your shoes before getting in your car. 4Left
A few things for me: Keep a Mio electrolyte water enhancer and protein bars in my bag. Filling and keeps my energy up during a round plus saves money on hot dogs and sandwiches at the snack shack. When I travel with my clubs I use my socks to cover the heads of my irons and turn them all inwards. That with one of those travel posts has kept my clubs in one piece for many trips. JAGolfore
I use the lighter fluid trick. And if you want slightly thicker grips use double sided floor tape. Easier than using multiple wraps. cnosil
Since it is hot and humid in VA during the summer I use a single rain glove instead of a regular glove. Golfspy_CG2
Remove heads from woods and hybrids when flying our space is tight in the car. Just make sure you pack any wrenches (and the heads!) I did this, took pictures of the setting so I wouldn't forget, and put the head in my backpack. Got to the airport, clubs in the rental car, off to the hotel. Left for early morning tee time the next morning.....Get to the course, unpack the clubs from the travel bag.....you can see where this is going. Sure enough I have a nice driver shaft, but no clubhead. Back at the hotel in the backpack...DUH!! Since then, I wrap the head in a towel and leave it one of the compartments of the golf bag. The wrenches always stay in one of the side pockets of the bag. Big money
not sure if this fits in here. But when our group visits a new course that is very demanding and challenging. We institute a "no worse than 2 putt" rule on the greens. We are all Golf Hacks and not professionals.Helps speed up play and enjoy the day more.If we visit course again we will not institute this rule Keep it in the short stuff

Definitely speeds up play. Been doing it for years. Now USGA wants to make that a standing rule for recreational golfers. They mess up there own rules and now want to steal ours, lol. hckymeyer
3M Velcro strips on different spots on my bag for holding my glove I do this one as well but put them on the underside of my cart roof. Bonus is that it airs out the glove as you drive too. If you play with regular guys and have any sort of neary competition get a chalk line without the chalk. Very easy to measure who's closest and you can get a longer length in a smaller package than a tape measure. If you wear a tungsten wedding ring you can use it open beer bottles without scratching it if you forget an opener on the course. For an easy power scrub brush by a circular dish cleaning brush head. Stick a long bolt through the middle and attach it to a cordless drill. Works great for cleaning iron heads.
