I wonder if there are any new tech putters that allow you to putt either right, or left handed. I any a pretty good left handed putter, and it would be cool to be able to go either way on any given moment.

Or are there any rules against that?

I don't see many around anymore, I am sure it's not a rule you can't use them.

No rules against;  think of the old bullseye putters.  The rules read:

 

Appendix II, 4d states that:

The clubhead must only have one striking face, except that a putter may have two such faces if their characteristics are the same, and they are opposite each other.

 

 

The issues is that they are probably cost prohibitive for the market size.   Double inserts, double milling, or weight adjustability add cost.

There are lots of older putters out there that are both ways.As cnosil said there is no rule against that. Now 2 way chippers with grooves on both sides are not legal if you go by the rule book. They have a definition of a putter in the equipment rules they have to be within a certain degree of loft and a certain degree of lie. I know back when anchoring was legal we had to do some lie bending on some of the Ping B90I broomstick putters because they were a degree or two off on the lie requirements in fact if I remember correctly they were too upright. But with all of that being said there is no rule stating you can not putt opposite side of where you strike a ball. Also there is no stipulated rule that says you have to putt with a club defined as a putter. It is legal to putt with any club in your bag. Really the only new putter I have came across in recent years is a Cameron Bulls Eye and that is a refined copy of the original

Yep - they have an SC milled in the sole. Edel did one (custom job) recently too.

I am sure some of the botique putter companies have one or can custom make you one. I do not keep up with that side of the golf business a lot because I have no interest what so ever in exotic putters etc. I like beat all to hell rusty lead taped ones. LOL I absolutely refuse to game a putter I have to keep a cover on
