Thanks! It's not the prettiest at the moment, but I'm working on it. Attempting to slow things down for accuracy. Once I get that under control, I'll add some oomph!

All in the eye of the beholder. I follow Arnie's advice, swing your swing. There are no two swings the same. I think everyone's looks good, except mine. I criticize the sh!t out of it. Keep up the good work fellas!

Here's an iron and a driver swing, it's not pretty. My lower body seemed funky today and club was coming up inside. Stuff to work on I guess. 

A lot of good stuff going on with your swing. Do you have a coach/instructor? I see one thing that may help, but am hesitant to offer unsolicited analysis, or put thoughts in your head a coach may not agree with.

Feedback on a golf forum can never supplant lessons. Short of that though, since you asked, the best thing you could do imo is only swing 3/4 what you show in the video. About here:

The objective is to get onto your left side better from the top. You will be in much better position to do so at "3/4".

The other major thing I see is your shoulder plane being too flat. This is a biggy, because the golf swing is way easier if the torso/rib cage/ shoulders are rotating on the right plane. You should feel the right shoulder moving up and back toward the target at initiation, with the emphasis on up.

I believe these two steps will get you in much better position to hit the ball with authority. You want to be sure to feel your weight on the inside of your right foot at the top. Everything will flow to the left from there without thought if you get loaded correctly.

This may be more than you asked for or wanted. It won't hurt my feelings if you just choose to ignore. I'm not a teaching pro, but an avid amateur analyst, so take it for what it's worth. Hope you do find it helpful though. Cheers.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I had a back injury about 10 years ago, if Alter that I might not be able to walk after 18. I've been slowly trying to address the things you pointed out. I have 5-7 months of down time here. Been working on stretching and mobility to get some length in my swing. I had about a 7/8 swing last year with some good results. Thanks again!

 

 

Edit: That's why I usually play in an open stance, with my left foot pulled back a touch so I can get my lower body out of the way. My lower body stays pretty inactive, anything more could make me have to take up crochet.
