With the Kirk Junge version of the one plane swing, there are typically no changes to equipment required, except for considering using larger grips, but that is also not required. At setup, the wrist are cocked downwards, so the larger grip helps get a better hold in that position with death gripping. So I now use Jumbo Max XS grips. Some versions of the one plane swing recommend more upright lie angles, etc., but not with the Kirk Junge one plane. His philosophy is to stand the same distance as you normally would with your normal two plane setup, but raise the hands, so you are setting up in a position that mimics many aspects of the impact position. 1 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 11/13/2021 Driver: TSi 2 - Autoflex Fairway Woods: TSi2 3 wood, 5 wood - Aldila Ascent 60 S Irons: T300 5 to SW - LAGP AXS Red 85 Stiff double soft stepped Wedges: K-grind 2.0 58 wedge - Xcaliber RT Spin Wedge 100 Putter: SIK DW Armlock - LAGP 180 armlock shaft

I am more open at impact than I used to be however I still have a ways to go before I get where I want. ... A really good swing with "flaws". So many hall of fame golfers had "flaws" before high speed video created cookie cutter swings. Your shaft gets too far inside going back and for 99% of golfers that is a death move. But you get it to a good position at the top and the downswing is pretty close to perfect. The back swing is merely a device to get us in the proper position for the downswing and your backswing reminds me a little of Raymond Floyd who brought it back much more to the inside and parallel to the ground, which is just about impossible to recover from for most players. Floyd managed to use that "flawed" swing for 48 wins worldwide. Fwiw, I taught a few really good players that agonized over their "flaws" and I managed to convince them their excellent shots and their index didn't care about what their backswings looked like. I wish I had a Matthew Wolff video to show them back then. ... I love your swing. 5 1 Quote Driver: SIM2 Max 10.5* ... AD-MT SR Fairway: SIM2 Max 15/16.5/18* ... And showing some serious speed along with it! Haha, funny you mention this. Been fighting urges to guide the club instead of swinging it - really just getting too tight in my hands, wrists and shoulders. Today I went back out there and focused more on being loose and saw a slight uptick in speed up to 97.6 average over 14 swings. I do have a power leak as the clubs get longer though. Not sure if that's just from indoor swing syndrome or if I'm just too tight there too. Will be interesting to get out in the spring and see! 2 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 8.6 / Anti-Cap: 15.3 (Last Updated May 25, 2022) Driver: Callaway Epic Max LS (9°), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Club Champion Fitting 17° Hybrid: Callaway Super Hybrid, 41.5", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 21° Hybrid: Callaway Epic Flash, 40", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", UST Mamiya Recoil 110 F5 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. ncwoz 2,646
The back end of this past golf season saw me practicing almost none and playing very little. I slowly reverted back to a long back swing that got across the line pretty far, and subsequently my ball contact was really poor. I've been getting some more swings in the last few weeks to clean it up a bit, and was pretty pleased with my most recent range session over the weekend. Curious to hear any of your thoughts: Something I've always struggled with to some degree is early extension, which I believe I still have in the swing above. Another thing that (I believe) results from that is my exit tends to be "high and right-ish" instead of "low and left". I'm probably going to try to diagnose a little more thoroughly and work on that, unless anyone has a good reason they don't think I should Always something to work on! 2 Quote Right Handed Driver: 9° Speedzone (HZRDUS Smoke Green 70g X-Stiff shaft) 2 Hybrid: 18° Exotics EXS Pro (Evenflow Black 6.5) (2020 MGS Official Review here) 3/Driving Iron: 18° UiHi Iron (KBS Tour V 110g shaft) Irons: 4-GW T100 irons (Nippon Modus 120 X-Stiff shafts) (2021 MGS Official Review here) Wedges: 54° & 58° TSW Forged (Dynamic Gold S300) Putter: ER2B (2019 MGS Official Review here) Ball: MTB-Black OR MAXFLI Tour OR TP5X

You rotate the hips early, have what looks like a little lift of the arms to the top. Not really an issue. Your issue is you pull down on the shaft/club so you are steep in transition and have no choice but to early extend to shallow the club and make contact with the ball 3 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

This is from last winter. It’s not as drastic but you still early extend. In this one it’s more about balance points and your butt being too far behind your heels. The posture in the first video is a lot better than this one. Your hip joint should be stacked over your ankles. The back of your armpits should should be inline with the balls Of your feet. If you draw a straight line from the back of your armpits it should run straight into your knees and the balls of your feet. Pretty much every instructor I’ve seen or watched the hips don’t start to rotate until the club goes from what GG refers to as p1.5. This is where I’m between the setup and club parallel to the ground and even then it’s only a small amount. Here’s a good video Based on your swing and your handicap you are like me in that we have this shaft steeping but have worked at our swings enough that we can time them up pretty consistently and get around the course with some good scores. If you are trying to improve I would recommend seeing a coach to have him or her get you going with the right drills. 2 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1
