My wife a semester at VCU in 1988. It had a lasting impact on her music taste, and by extension mine.

On the course I like to listen to The Avett Brothers 90 percent of the time, but I will throw on classic rock station sometimes depending on what my group likes.

The Strokes new album came out and I was kinda on the fence about it. Now after multiple listens I’m really digging it. Much better than their few previous efforts.

Finding myself bored... and depressed over my golf game... drinking Tequila. So............. I figured a little Frank Zappa would help a bit...lol. Zappa was a genius.

At work (metal shop) it's usually metal or rap. At home it's usually country and when I'm on the course I put together what I call a happy playlist. It's songs that make me happy no matter what. I find when I'm in a good mental space and listening to fun music I play better. If I'm playing with other people I love the sounds of the birds and the wind with the occasional fbombs on the course followed by the deep thud of a ball hitting a tree brings a smile to my face.

He can definitely still play. I saw Steve Hackett from Genesis in concert back in October where he did the complete “Selling England by the Pound”. He still has it as well.

Those old Prog guys were so proficient even in their 70’s they haven’t lost much in their playing from their prime.

Genesis great group. Many great musicians in that band. They are on tour again. Saw Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford (mike & mechanics) and Peter Gabriel as solo.
