chisag
... Harry Nilsson's The Point. Started out as a LP with a story book included and later Nilsson turned into an animated film. Some older folks may remember the only hit: Me And My Arrow. The story is as good as the music and it can be a life changing experience. It is just so profound. The values are as perfect and enlightening today as they were in 1970 and I often quote from the story 50 years after hearing it. If you have the time, listen to it in it's entirety. And if you don't have the time ... make time. Harry Nilsson narrates and it will progress through every chapter. I highly recommend listening to it with your kids. ENJOY!!! It's also the only album I have bought on 2 cassettes and 2 CDs and been everywhere I have been. https://www.rush.com/albums/moving-pictures/ Deployment in 2004 had a second soundtrack that filled the senses in the Middle East experience of Iraq in harms way. Sarah Brightman, Harem was on the AAFES store speakers at the Kirkuk Airbase FOB Warrior and its sounds were perfect for living 10 months in the Tigris and Euphrates river valleys and preserved my spirit. You can call these two works in their entirety as the soundtrack of my 30 year military career.
