Tonight I somehow slipped into a hidden space in my mind to recall this version of this song from this concert...

It made me smile to be suddenly reminded of my buddy Keith; the first friend I made when I moved to Florida in 2003.  He was a phenomenally kind human, a truly gifted musician and loyal to a fault.  Sadly, he had some medical problems and ended up taking his own life nearly 3 years ago.

So tonight, I can to listen to this concert from Slane Castle and think of happy memories...

They had one of the early videos on MTV called "When The Walls Came Down"  & were a staple on late 80's to early 90's alternative radio. Huge cult following, but they never really got the recognition they deserved IMHO.

I agree about the lack of recognition.  I found them after reading or hearing Peter Gabriel giving them respect way back.  Being a huge Gabriel fan if he is impressed it's good enough for me!

One of the advantages of living next to Southern Ontario Canada is being able to listen to Canadian Rock broadcast from the top of the CN Tower so eminently present by those FM stations on any radio in Western NY.  My mind was bathed in The Call, Ice House, The Kings, Saga, and RUSH, all the headlining bands from the Great White North when SCTV had Bob and Doug McKenzie making us roll with laughter of the Red and Green Show ilk.  Still  takes me back to college days and through the 80's before Cassettes and CDs made it possible to stop listening to traffic reports from the TO that had nothing to do with us across Lake Ontario... 🥲

One of my top five favorite albums ever...start to finish I could listen to every song

... While there is just too many truly great LP/CD's out there to choose one as the best, if I were forced to pick just one, Buckingham Nicks would be in a short list. Every single track is just remarkable.

... I was getting ready to interview Chris Cross and Stevie Nicks when they were in town for a concert and made the mistake of telling Stevie I thought Buckingham Nicks might be the best LP ever made and she got so upset she left before the interview. Seems Chris made the same mistake and told me Stevie felt like her raw and emotional energy on the LP is something she may never be able to replicate after several attempts with Fleetwood Mac and her solo LP's. I wish he would have told me before I said it but in his defense he said most people had never even heard of Buckingham Nicks. Shockingly they never released a CD but I have a few bootleg copies.

Sorry for telling you the truth, Stevie!

Nobody played guitar like Lindsey...when they were able to gather for the Dance I fell in love with FM...Between the USC marching band, Mick's eccentric drums and John McVie's steady bass, it's just great music.

... Agree of course and I have always thought Lindsey was one of the most underrated guitarists ever. When I worked at a rock station, I included him in a list of top 50 guitarists all the DJ's had to put together and at our staff meeting that choice was 2nd'ed by none. There is a Lindsey guitar solo on Buckingham Nicks.

Well...if it's the same radio station that claimed Tom Sawyer was the #1 rock song, you just cant debate that kind of logic...Smile and nod, yep...you guys are right 🙂

... LOL, that's them! They were arrogant enough to call their current music "Classic Rock". Turns out some were and some most defiantly were not. Still boggles my mind that they thought Rush was greater and more influential than the Beatles. I was never a good fit at that station.
