What are you listening to?

I kind of got that way with the A7X and Bullet. Not there with Periphery.. yet.. but I can see them as a band that doesn't really change their sound from album to album. Progression and new development is something that a lot of people look forward to when following a band.. Even if it's way out in left field from their other stuff, at least they're exploring.

I found when I first started with A7x I was really into the earlier stuff (Nightmare, City of Evil) but find I've found I really enjoy The Stage and while their more known songs (Bat Country, Beast and The Harlot) are great I find I prefer songs like Buried Alive, The Stage and recently Roman Sky.

Listening to Strung Out's "vanity". One of my most favorite bands ever and quite possibly most favorite song.

Listened to broadway/70s/80s/ and what every my DJ wife wanted to play on the 10 hour drive back from Myrtle Beach.  Apparently, she can't finish listening to a song before jumping to the next one, LOL...

Downset: "Anger"... Such a perfect morning rush hour traffic jam..

Funny Downset story. So I worked at the radio station in college, and I was supposed to go see them with a few other people from the station on comped tickets at a show in Providence, RI. I ended up not going, the only person who ended up taking advantage of the passes was our station's metal director.

A few days go by, none of us see the metal director, Melissa. She finally turns up 3 days after the concert - after the show using her pass she got backstage, started hanging out with the band when she told them about working at the station, and they invited her on the bus. Next thing you know, she starts playing NHL 94 on the bus's Sega (yes that's how long ago this was) with the band, and after hours upon hours of playing, she discovered the bus was now in NYC.

She ended up hanging out with the band for another day while they played in New York, then they had a show in Hartford CT, after which she hopped in a taxi on the label's dime and had it drive her back to the campus in MA. Boy was I jealous of that adventure, being a huge fan of both Downset AND NHL 94.
