Does anyone walk anymore?

I walk when I play unless its hotter than 90 degrees outside.  This way I can convince myself that the 5ish miles I walked will help me lose weight.  Also, when its cart path only it really speeds up the round.   I have a Clicgear Rovic that I love.  I do ride during Scrambles or other Tournaments where the cart is included in the entry fee.

Basically the only time I ride is when the course does not allow walking...way more enjoyable experience that way IMHO.

I walk whenever it's allowed. Makes the round more enjoyable when you can talk to your partners and you get different conversations with different golf partners. I think it makes the game more social and way more enjoyable. Not really sure if it makes my game any better but it sure does make it way more fun and more connected to the course.

Definitely walk 9's and really short 18's but most courses I play actually require you to use a cart to the length to keep up the rate of play

My course just isn't walker friendly.....too far in between a lot of the holes and then the 100+ temps with 90% humidity in the summer just don't work for walking.

I prefer to walk over ride. My muscles stay warm that way and I do not have the same amount of fatigue as I do when I ride. I also notice that my lower back holds up much better on the back nine if I am walking.

I also have a Caddytek EZ V2 that I got from Costco that I love!

Walked a hole today due to a broken cart. Steepest hill on the course but I played better after that hole, so its only proving that i need to walk my fat butt around the course.

I love to walk but I find that I'm using GolfNow for the most part and the cart is typically included.

I do find that I think my way more around the course and play more strategically when I'm walking.

Most of the guys I play with tend to prefer to just ride.

Grab a few clubs and let your partner have the cart. I do that quite a bit.

I to like to walk. When I do I use my Clicgear cart. Sometimes it's hard due to three knee surgeries, but I still try to make it work. In the colder weather I do use a cart w/cover and heater.

I'll have to consider that.

However, it's nice to be able to chat with who I'm playing with, so taking that approach could deter that quite a bit as a lot of the conversation is had in the cart.

Appreciate the recommendation.

It's always a trade-off. I don't walk the entire hole when I do that, but I'll naturally look for opportunities to tell my cart-partner that I'll just grab a handful and (s)he can take the cart. Speeds up play as well.

I prefer walking as well, I only cart if it's mandatory or the odd twilight round where we're trying to get in as many holes as possible and tipping back as many pints as possible.

Prefer to walk when I can. Now that I'm back in Florida most courses restrict when walking is allowed. I used to carry but switched to a push cart.

If I'm playing 9, I'm walking. My bad knee will get cranky sometimes walking 18, but if I'm feeling good I'll always give it a go walking to get the exercise.

... I do the same but still walk when the course is walkable. It is usually cheaper to book the round thru GolfNow which as you said includes a cart, than it is to pay the course walking rate. I look at it as the best of both worlds, cheaper rate but I still get to walk.
