Golfspy_CG2
I know we shouldn't seek advice from strangers on the internet. But I don't consider members here strangers. And besides you never know someone may have had the exact same issue. So here it is.My highly anticipated set of 565/765 came in on Friday.Had a very brief chance to get to the grass range with them. And first shot with a Pw-Sh@$! , think ok thsts odd, next shot same and the next.Stricken with panic I grab the 7 iron same thing blazing hosel rocket to the right. 5 iron same. Back to the PW with half swings. Same thing. So I run inside and grab my SM6 50 degree. A club I hit very solid. Same thing. So at least I'm somewhat glad that the same thing was happening with another set.So I was so frustrated and just gave up for the day.So Saturday I had a big 27 hole team event. Due to down unforseen circumstances my warm-up time was cut very short. But I went out with the Srixon and the same thing happens.I quickly went back in and switched out Back to my AP1. With one exception. O decided to take a chance and put the 765 PW in the bag.I had not gotten to hit the Ap1 that morning either. But fortunately 25 or the 27 holes the irons were going as normal.I did have 2 hosel rockets one with a 9 and one with the Srixon PWSo that's the backstory. Here's some tech specsAp1 were 1/2 inch long and inadvertently ordered standard lie as opposed to my normal 2 degrees up. They have kbs your 90 in R flex.Srixon are 1/2 long but were ordered 2 degrees up right. They have Nippon Modus 3 105 in R flex.So I'm curious to here any thoughts. Is it most likely swing related and I just need to work it out. If so any good drills for doing so.If it is possibly equipment related. On what way and what suggestion do you have.I did get to demo the srixon 765 in a stiffer heavier shaft for an entire round. So I know I can hit them.Very perplexed right now. Shankster
Yeah. You set up a box about a half inch from your ball and take normal swings. It forces you to come down correctly or you hit the box instead. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Rusty1885
Even if the new clubs are not set up for you, you should still see half way decent shot quality. It's simply all in your head. May be it's a new club and you don't want to put a scratch on the club face. There's nothing wrong with your swing. You are simply too excited to hit your new club. Philly Golf Guy
Sounds to me like you're hitting a heavier shaft with 2 degrees difference with a swing that is used to your old iron configuration. Combine that with panic setting in with a few hosel shots and it's likely a combo of getting used to new irons and getting your arms out of the swing. Golfspy_CG2
Yeah Rusty and PGG. I'm sure there was some of that, excitement and trepidation about something new. Getting the arms out of the swing is a big thing PGG. It is something that crept into my driver swing the past week that has been creating havoc in 3 rounds, after I had just played some solid gold the previous 2 weeks. Kor.A.Door
It is most likely a swing issue. I can tell you what my club pro told me that fixed it on the first swing. You are only missing the center of the face by maybe 1/2 inch or so. So you're not far away. My club pro told me to sit back on my heels during the swing, make it feel like you are really sitting on your heels. Then swing a normal swing. It fixed it very quickly. Ask a club pro if he has any thoughts. He may be able to help you with a tip. Good luck Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Kor.A.Door
I was middle of the fairway last year on the first hole, had 9 iron and hit it straight left off the hosel into the woods. Then did the same thing on the second hole. After we finished the round I was talking with our assistant pro and that's what he told me to do. He literally took 2 minutes to fix it. gaussman1
You're probably early extending a bit (humping the barrel) so the hosel is getting there first but you need to get your lofts and lies checked. 1/2" long=1 deg up already so if they are +2 up from there this set is now 3 degrees up. Start at the chipping green feeling chip shots with your eyes closed. And on the practice tee start with some half shots. It took me about 45 minutes to get a true feel for my swing. But after that I was able to confidently hit full long irons with my eyes closed. Now it's a regular part of my warm up, I start every club with a few eyes closed. EthanSterlingPrice
My first checkpoint would be making sure my weight is balanced on the balls of my feet at address. The human body is a neat design in that if it's slightly off balance it'll subconsciously correct itself to a point. Too much weight on the heels at address and during the swing the body corrects (tries at least) forward back to the balls of the feet shifting forward the rest of the body including the club exposing the hosel (you know what occurs). Too much on the toes and the body shifts backwards bringing the toe into play or if the player reaches for the ball to try and prevent this (something I'm prone to if I'm not careful) then the hosel comes in play again. Apologies if I made that over technical but hope that helps a bit.
