I like to smoke meats, brew beer and vint wine.

I built myself a UDS for BBQing but will eventually get a stick burner.

I started brewing a long time ago and now all grain using the BIAB method (invented in Australia). I usually make Dr Smurto's Golden Ale for me, a Summer Ale for SWMBO and a Vanilla Porter for anyone. I'll be putting down the porter this weekend.

The wine is mostly for her, but I do like a Pinot Noir, so I make that occasionally.

I have GOT to get back to Ohio!!

I've been a huge fan of motocross my entire life. I still own a bike and go as often as I can. Ping pong and tennis also have a place in my heart. Basically I am a hobby-maniac (says the wife).

With two teenagers I'm lucky to have time to play golf much less have another hobby. I guess volleyball on my lunch break at work and pickleball once or twice a week would be my others.

Dang I forgot to include pickleball. I love the game!

I've always wanted to get a kayak. We go on long floats in the summer, (hopefully this isn't just a Missouri thing) which consists of TONS of people. We always rent the large rafts they offer, but a kayak seems like a lot more fun.

I prefer the kayak myself, a lot easier than people think too.

I have a 2009 Husqvarna TC 450. This is before they were bought out by KTM and became little orange bike clones. IMG_1311.JPG

Summer is a lot of walking the dog and helping the grandparents at their cottage. That takes up most of my time outside of golfing. Bbqing would definitely also be a summer hobby.

Winter is taken up by work and curling and travel. Curling has been my winter sport for nearly 22 years and is my other passion/hobby outside of golf.

Went kayaking with my wife once, it was a lot of fun!  Was in Dick's last night doing some wish I had that shopping, lol.  They had a sale on some kayaks, looked like pretty good prices.  Maybe I'll have to run it by my wife this weekend  :D

College Hoops!!

I'm fortunate that my two passions have seasons that kind of dove-tail each other.  During the winter I cover basketball (Towson and Maryland) for a local radio station.  So that starts a bit in November right as golf weather here is winding down, and goes through March, just as it's beginning again.

So we all know that everyone here has a love for golf. Sometimes that love turns to hate, but nonetheless you're addicted.

When you aren't playing golf, what do you like to do?

For me, it's PC gaming/building. Here in Missouri, we usually experience all the seasons, so when Winter rolls around I have to put up the sticks and bust out the controller/M&KB. That is, until Spring comes, then it's a cycle all over again.

This is the PC I built towards the end of last year sometime, a simple black & white setup.

So, what's your other hobby, if any?

I coach soccer around this time of year and play myself. I played semi-professionally, so it's always fun to relieve the glory-days.

I also like to draw and paint. Lately my newest hobby has been bookkeeping and billing for medical offices
