Yea she did however she knows this little or possibly big outing is very low maintenance meaning I have no dealings with hotels and such.   I lock down three or four tee times pending the number of people coming and that's it.   Easy peasy for the old man and no stress to deal with. You can come Friday, Saturday, or Sunday with no formal format.  It's basically an opportunity to come when you can and have the chance to meet other spies. I'll take care of the tee times, set the pairings and we'll roll from there. No tournament or competition which equals no pressure. Just good old boy let's tee er up and whack the hell out of the ball type format.

I just checked the Dawg's schedule and they are at ole Rocky Top on Saturday the 30th of September.  That is the weekend, I'll be down there.  I just have to figure out the logistics, but it could work.

 

Finishing up in Jacksonville, around 3PM on Friday, need to spend some time in the Jessup area to see my dads grave and visit my aunt and possibly a few cousins.   Then make it up to Bishop (which looks to be a 3 hour drive or so?) then fly out of ATL on Sunday AM.

 

Not impossible, and would certainly be worth the effort if this happens to fall on that Saturday.  It's just a matter if I could make the tee time, depending on where I stay Friday night down south in jessup or drive on up that way late.

I would say it it's September 30th, about the only thing that would keep me away would be a combination of Reese Witherspoon, some chocolate and a bottle of wine.   But looking at the odds of that, I'd say i'd pretty much be a lock for the 30th.   I'm sure I'll make the time work whatever it ends up being.

1.  Have some frigging fun

3. No pressure to play well although you can and should have little bets in your group like rabbit, six X 3, greenies, or skins etc.

 

4. Stay where da hell ya want to except you ain't staying at my house!  Athens, Ga.  is a college town so lot's of motels/hotels in the area for you wild or young bucks to stay at. 

 

5. We could have a meet & greet Friday night for those who are coming in from afar.

 

6. You can play one day, two or even three pending on how long you are planning to stay. 

 

7. May sure OG wins all the money

 

8. Make new friends

 

​9. Enjoy a beautiful golf course regardless of how well you play

 

10. Come back next year!

I didn't get around to buying my airline ticket today, but have that on the list for tomorrow.  So I'll be looking to leave Sunday AM most likely, since I will have been away from home sine Monday night, I should try to be home for dinner Sunday night.

 

Also I want to be clear, I'm not saying this has to be the date.  Go with whatever the majority can make.  If it ends up being another weekend, maybe I can still swing by and get a round in with your old butt and all sometime on that Saturday if you're around.

Do people play golf on the weekend? jk. Lol. Dawg was talking about during the week as I don't believe he picks a club up on momma's time .

 

With that said I can go with a weekend round. Maybe you and T0AD could make it? Saturday or Sunday would work for me. The thing right now is they punched our greens Tuesday. It'll take a while for them to smooth out.

Sept 30 is the UT game, so if we tee off around 9 or 9:30, I'm in.  You know I am good for Oct 27, the 28th I will be glued to the TV.  I imagine both games will be in the 3:30 time slot.

Awesome!  I'll get a 9:00 a.m. tee time so we can get out there and have some fun.   Usually in the Fall when football season starts the courses around here dry up. It should be smooth sailing on the course.

Awesome Randy. It'll be great to see you again. Almost exactly three years from the day we first teed it up at PGA National.
