Ok bad news for our National Champion Coach to attend our little Get Together.  He has an Alumni meeting that same weekend.

Tomorrow my wife and I are looking forward to hosting Carolina Golfer 2 at Lane Creek GC.  It's a really fun golf course in great shape and waiting for Rob to try er out!

Up and ready to head out in a bit to meet up with Carolina Golfer 2.  As much as Rob and I have chatted here and THP we have yet to stick a peg in the ground.  That is about to change this morning. He'll also meet my wife known as KellyBo on THP and her friend Melanie.

 

Note to Ron: KB will only be able to play nine holes as she has to get back home and send her sister off to Texas.

CG 2 is as awesome as I had envisioned! Just a fine fellow and a pleasure to play golf with. I hope nang more of you get to meet Ron and see what I'm referring to. Class Act

 

He's got game too as he played the back side very well and was right on the border of a 39 however a deep trap shot on 18 caused a 41. I'm thinking he shot mid 80ish. It was good to finally meet you and the girls ( KellyBo & Melonie) loved him.

 

Come back again big guy!!!

Back home in Baltimore

 

I couldn't think of a better way to end a great 4 day trip than a round with a good friend his wife. And Bill im not afraid to say I'm a BIG Melanie fan. I mean how many women welcome you to their hometown by jumping in your lap for a cart ride . Tell her my biggest disappointment of the trip was she only got to play nine holes with us.

 

She was a lot of fun and a pretty good golfer in her own right. Her and Kelly Bo sure left our drives in the dust on the first hole.

 

What a beautiful club Lane Creek is. I'd seen pictures but they don't do it justice. I swear every hole on the back was more beautiful than the one before it. Rolling Georgia terrain and towering pines mAke for quite a stunning visual.

 

I shot 86. That stupid triple on 18 tore me up. And I had been doing fine out of the sand all day. But the round was really made by yours and Kelly's hospitality. That morning PBJ saved the day!!

 

Thanks again partner for a terrific time. Kelly and Melanie said they are already planning a trip to DC. So y'all just come on up!!

It was a beautiful day and a fun round of golf. Maybe next time I'll play from my tees and y'all will get some push carts and walk with me. Lane is a pretty easy walk. Thanks for a good time.

Guess who's coming to Georgia for a round of golf on July 17th?  My co testing partner Wedgie is making his way south so we can enjoy a round and compare notes during our Cleveland Launcher HB irons testing phase. This is on a Tuesday and we are going to have a blast out at the Creek!
